	This is an indirect sequel to Snow Day. It's not necessary to read that one, but it would explain some stuff. Anyway, Star Wars isn't owned by me. It's owned by a man named George Lucas. This might not be too good, but I'm doing this anyway. Here we go! *** Chapter One: First Impressions Jacen Solo stood in front of the mirror in his home on Coruscant. He licked his hand and ran it over his unruly brown hair in a truly vain attempt to smooth it down. His massive cowlicks stood back up right after his hand went over it, but he didn't care. He pointed at the mirror, winked and said. "Hey, baby. How you doin'?" he stood there for a moment before dropping his arms to the side and letting out a sigh. "This isn't working." He said. "I gotta figure out a way to impress Tenel Ka." Two days ago, the erstwhile Solo had asked the Hapan princess out to a date. She accepted, and now they were back on Coruscant getting ready for the big day. However, Jacen still needed to ask his father a very big question; whether he could borrow the Falcon or not. A pounding on the door interrupted his practice. "Jacen, stop hogging the refresher!" It was Jaina. Jacen glanced at the door and yelled at his twin. "I'll be out soon!" He turned back to the mirror and hooked his thumbs in his belt loops. "Hey, Tenel Ka. You're looking good!" He rolled his eyes and slumped. "Why can't I do this?" Jaina's voice sounded off again. "Just be yourself!" Jacen looked over at the door. "Just be myself? How is that gonna help?" Jacen could see his sister roll her brown eyes in response. "Well maybe because, for some ungodly reason, Tenel Ka fell in love with you! Again, don't ask me why, but she loves you for who you are!" She pounded on the door again. "Now let me in!" Jacen ignored her and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he no longer saw his reflection. Instead, his best friend Tenel Ka stood there. Her gray eyes sparkled, and a smile tugged at the corners of her ruby lips. "Friend Jacen, how are you?" Jacen let his smile come naturally instead of forcing it. "Oh, I'm fine. Are you ready to go?" The image adjusted her lizard skin armor. "I am ready, but first I want a kiss." Jacen chuckled and leaned forward. He puckered his lips… And smacked his head right against the mirror. "Ow!" He yelled, rubbing the rapidly forming bump on his head. Just then, the refresher door bulged for a split second before bursting off its hinges. Jacen dodged the flying door and looked to the hole in the wall. He saw Jaina there. Her eyes were colored red instead of the usual brown, and she seethed with anger. "I GOTTA TAKE A SHOWER!" She said as she advanced upon her brother. Jacen let out a squeak before the pummeling began… *** Please read and review. The next post will be up Wednesday. 	Heh. I think I've created a monster... _3MD_-You already know, but the idea is inserting you and me as concert attendees who hit on Tenel Ka-and get hit back, hard. Jaded_Girl-Yes, begging can sometimes work. I've got some ideas on what do do, but any suggestions would be most helpful. JSM-Heh. You want more? You've got more! PLJ-Thank you! I'm glad you've read that post. Hopefully you'll stick around for more, eh? Jaina_and_Jag-Actually, he's bumping against the mirror. tenelfan14-Ah, okay. How? GeithGiseo-Yeah, Jaina was mad. You'll see more of that later. JAGSGURL15-Thank you. Okay, this sets up several plot points that will be explored later. I don't like plotholes or loose ends. I use everything(or I try to). Here we go! ***** Twenty minutes later, Jacen and Jaina were downstairs in the kitchen being lectured by their mother. Both twins had bruised knuckles, split lips and black eyes. Leia stood there with her hands on her hips, marveling at the mutual destruction. "Honestly, you two are eighteen years old! Why can't you be more mature like Anakin?" Jacen opened his mouth to speak, but Leia cut him off. "That was a rhetorical question, young man!" Han, sitting at the table reading a newspaper, folded the paper down and glanced at his wife. "Now, dear. There wasn't any real damage done. Jaina's gonna fix the door." Jaina looked over at her father and scoffed. "What? I'm going to fix the door? Why am I going to fix the door?" Han looked over at his only daughter. "It's simple, princess. You blew the door off its hinges, therefore you put it back on." Jaina's brown eyes turned to Leia with a look of pleading in them. "Mo-om, Jacen should have to put it back on!" Leia's gaze hardened. "Jaina Beru Solo, you march upstairs and get your tool kit out right now, young lady." Jaina inwardly groaned. The full name? I'm in trouble… She turned around and stomped off to the stairs. Jacen smirked at her while she went up, but one glance from Jaina told him that this was not over, not by a longshot. He turned to walk away, but Leia's voice froze him in his tracks. "Jacen, we need to have a talk." Jacen's brown eyes swiveled around, followed by his head. "Yes, Mother?" He said. Leia sighed. "Jacen, I know you're going to that concert this Saturday. I just want you to be careful and I don't want you doing anything stupid." Jacen's face took on a look of pure disbelief. "'Anything stupid'? Mom!" Leia waved him off. "I know you're a smart young man, but you're still my child, and I worry about you." Han looked over from his seat. "Sweetheart, Jacen will be fine! He's a Solo, after all." Leia's eyebrows arched. "That's what I'm afraid of." Jacen barked out a laugh, then silently rebuked himself. Great, now Dad's never gonna lend me the Falcon! Han simply ruffled his paper, then let one of his famous smiles cross his lips. "There's never been anything that can stop a member of this family. I'd bet my the Falcon on that." Jacen nodded. "Yeah, Dad. That's right." He walked over to the table and sat down. "And I'd bet you'd want Jaina and I to enjoy the Falcon as much as you and Chewie have, right?" Han lowered the newspaper and looked at Jacen. "Son, what do you have in mind?" Jacen took a deep breath, then blurted out. "Dad, I wanna take Tenel Ka to the concert in the Falcon." Han's brown eyes bore into his son. "Boy, the last time you flew the Falcon, you nearly crashed her into the Imperial Palace." Leia, who was pouring herself a cup of coffee, looked over. "Oh, Han! That was a year ago!" Jacen nodded eagerly. "Yeah! I've gotten much better at flying." Han waved him off. "Listen, kid. It takes more than a few lessons to be able to fly the Falcon. It takes a special handling, like women." Han leaned back and tried to resume reading his paper, but he gradually felt his wife's stare through the pulp and newsprint. Leia reached out with the Force and snatched the paper away from him. "Honey," She said with a hint of venom. "I don't think you should fill our son's mind with such…bantha poodoo." Han seemed to shrink in his chair as his Leia's gaze bore into him. "Sure thing, sweetheart." Leia placed a hand on Jacen's shoulder. "I think Jacen should be given a chance." She thought for a moment. "Don't you have business at the Hapan Embassy tomorrow?" Han thought for a moment, then stood up. "I am not inviting Isolder over for dinner! You know how much we hate each other!" Leia nodded. "But Teneniel and I are good friends, and it's been a while since we've seen each other." Jacen looked up at his mother. "So if I get Dad there without totaling the Falcon," Leia finished his thought. "You can use it Saturday." Jacen got out of his chair and hugged Leia. "Thanks, Mom." He said before dashing out of the house. Han looked over at his wife. "When did I get cut out of that conversation?" Leia walked over and slapped the newspaper back into Han's hand. "You were going to say yes." The former smuggler arched an eyebrow. "Was that a Jedi thing?" Leia shrugged. "No, it was a mother thing." She walked over to the stairs and went up to the second floor, leaving behind a perplexed Han Solo. "I will never understand women." He muttered before opening his newspaper back up to the sports section. "Hey, the Hawkbats beat the Golden Dragons!" ***** As Jaina screwed on the bottom hinge, her ears picked up on the bet Han and Jacen made. An evil smile formed on her lips. He won't get to Saturday, not if I can help it! ***** The next post will be Sunday so I can establish a post schedule of Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please read and review.
