All I Wanted Was the World.....A Poem for Luke... Lurker Appreciation Week has begun!

Now, don't get me wrong...I really dislike Callista because of what she did to Luke. But...after I wrote this poem it just seemed to me that it fit quite nicely with how Luke was feeling the last time Callista left him in 'Planet of Twilight'. Let me know what you think.
All I Wanted Was the World
If I could have the world
I’d ask for the moon
It is forever there
A constant presence
Never failing
If I could have the moon
I’d ask for the sea
Deep and resourceful
Relaxed for all
Ever flowing
If I could have the sea
I’d ask for a flower
Life in a tiny bundle
Intricate and useful
Fragile beauty
Yet I have no flower
No answered questions
No ease for pain
No kept time
And I have no sea
Unquenched is my thirst
My arms empty
My heart drained
And I have no moon
The distance is too great for me
My fingertips brush sky
And have nothing in return
All I wanted was the world—
All I have is nothing.

Great work. i dislike callista as well- i think most do but even though i'm writing a story whith her in it called reserction. good job

That was a beautiful poem. I never did like Callista. (That's putting it mildly,  ) But I liked the descriptions and it put Luke's feelings together nicely.

Thank you very much. :} All of you. I wrote that for...something else, but it just seemed to fit so nicely with how Luke was feeling after ::spits:: Callista left him.
And I really, really, really, really dislike her as well. I liked her in Children of the Jedi, but after that she highly got on my nerves and I've always longed for Mara to meet her to tell her off... hey, I got an idea for a fic...lol

That was just beautiful. You can certainly feel the author's pain, whether it was Luke or yourself.

I never liked Callista for Luke, but I didn't really hate her...until she left my Farmboy in tears!

All right....I've done it...I wrote a short fic about Mara telling Callista off and I love it, if I do say so myself lol. Ya'll go check it out. :}

I'm not really into poems, but i liked that it was beautifully written. makes you want to throw callista out an air lock for making look feel that way.

I liked this a lot. I also like Callista, but this poem fits for how I would (and a lot of other girls) would feel.

Callista- Are you delurking? :} Glad you liked it--one of my few "Callista-friendly" fics. I liked her a lot at first, but I hated how they had her run out on Luke after all he did for her. ::shakes head sadly::
