	Hey All! I'm a first time poster, and I would really like to get some feedback, so, please read and respond. Thanks a bunch! Author’s Note: Song lyrics to “My Immortal” by Evanescence are in italics. I do not own anything but the plot and the character Cerasi. Tenel Ka rolled over in her bed at Crystal Reef, tangling her legs in the burgundy satin sheets. She knew that she should get up and go swimming in the ocean or do something active, but Tenel Ka was unable to convince herself that leaving her room would be a good thing. Ever since the mission to Myrkr, she had been frightened of what would happen if she left the welcomed, slight comfort of her bed. Finally, a knock at her bedroom door, signaling breakfast was ready, encouraged her to move. Reaching out with her force senses she felt her maid, Cerasi, waiting patiently beside the door. “Come in,” Tenel Ka shouted and Cerasi came in carrying a platter of scramble gort eggs and jurifruit juice. “Where would you like to eat, Miss?” the maid asked. Tenel Ka gracefully stood up and dutifully Cerasi followed her down the curving dim hallways of the water-front fortress. Tenel Ka stopped abruptly on her way to the courtyard. She stood in front of an abandoned bedroom. “I would like to eat in here,” Tenel Ka said as she seized the food platter and rushed into the room, gently closing the door, behind her. The vast room had walls the color of the deep oceans on Mon Calamari. The gargantuan bed was covered in lush sheets of the same tint. Overhead there was an aquarium in the shape of an arc with tropical and exotic fish inside. Tenel Ka set her tray down on the bed and made her way to the window. Looking down she could see the ocean waves beat up on the rocky cliffs and the gulls swarming to try and get a meal. Tenel Ka strode back and took a seat on the bed to enjoy her meal. Breathing deeply Tenel Ka inhaled an all too familiar presence. Jacen. This had been his room those many years ago. I’m so tired of being here Suppressed by all these childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave Because your presence still lingers here And it won’t leave me alone As she remembered the man that she had found herself falling in love with, Tenel Ka began to weep. Jacen had always known her the best, he had always been able to make her laugh or smile or show any type of emotion while others had not. But, he was gone now, he had left her and now she was all alone. It had almost been a month since his death, but the pain still made her heart ache. Tenel Ka knew that she would never be able to love another man. Never in all of her life would someone replace Jacen in her heart. These wounds won’t seem to heal This pain is just too real There’s just too much that time cannot erase Drying, her eyes, Tenel Ka laid her head back on the soft pillow. Under the feathers she could feel something. Reaching her one hand under the cushion, Tenel Ka pulled out a sealed envelope, which had her name written on it. Carefully splitting the seam she pulled out a piece of white parchment. It read: My Dearest Tenel Ka, Next week we are all leaving for Myrkr and before we go I wanted you to know how I have always felt about you, so I’m writing this letter. I know that there is a chance I will not be coming back, so I’m leaving this letter here because I know that, if I am gone when this is all over, you will be able to find it. If you have, in fact, found this letter… then I am terribly sorry that I have had to leave you this soon. I hope that you can understand why I am no longer with you and move on with your life. You are a wonderful person and I know that friends and family will always surround you with love and care. I thank you so much for being with me throughout the years. You always helped me when I was lost, laughed at my corny jokes, and even smiled for me when I felt blue. You cannot know how grateful I am to have had you in my life. Even though it is not like you to show any emotion, you always smiled for me, you always cried for me, you always laughed for me. And now that I am gone I need you to know that wherever life takes you, I will be with you until the end of time. I’ll be in your heart, and in your mind, and even in you soul. So, keep on smiling for me, because it will make waiting for you a lot easier on me. I love you Tenel Ka, I love you with all of my being. I will be with you for eternity, I will forever wait for you, and I will always, always love you. All of my Love, Jacen When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears And I’ve held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me On the opposite side of the galaxy lay the man Tenel Ka thought of. The Yuuzhan Vong had tortured Jacen, for a month, and they gave no sign that they would ever let him rest. Jacen could not stand, he could not lift his head, and it was tremendously difficult for him to even breathe. The only thing keeping Jacen from giving up was knowing that Tenel Ka was on Hapes, suffering and she would continue suffering until he came back. Jacen had cut himself off entirely from the force; consequently no one was able to know that he was still alive. All he had were his thoughts, and all of his thoughts were centered on Tenel Ka. He remembered the times when they had gone into the Massassi jungle and he had been amazed by her will to keep going. Jacen was sure that she didn’t want to keep going anymore, and hoped she would stay sane long enough for him to return to her. Exhausted, Jacen closed his eyes and was soon fast asleep dreaming of the woman he loved. He saw her lying on a familiar bed with sapphire satin sheets. She was weeping, and her red-golden hair was sticking to her tear-stained cheeks. Jacen felt himself go cold, as she whimpered his name. Jacen shook as he fell deeper into a dream-filled slumber. You used to captivate me By your everlasting light But now I’m bound by the life you left behind Your face haunts my once pleasant dreams Your voice chased away all the sanity in me Jacen woke up three hours later to his guards strapping him into the “Embrace of Pain”. The living machine was meant to torture him and cause him much physical pain. But the real pain was in his heart, knowing that Tenel Ka was alone, and missing him deeply. Never would he be able to forget this time he spent away from her. These wounds won’t seem to heal This pain is just too real There’s just too much that time cannot erase Jacen remembered the few times when she had cried at the Jedi Temple. He had been able to sense her pain, and had always run to her room to comfort her. Jacen wished that he could be with her now helping her get through the hard times. When Tenel Ka’s lightsaber had exploded and her arm was severed, he’d been the first person to rush to her aid. In the weeks after the accident, Jacen had stayed by her side and had always been able to offer help, when she came upon something she needed two hands for. Cerasi had come to check on her but Tenel Ka insisted she be left alone. It was so hard to believe that Jacen Solo was actually gone, that she would never see him again. She knew that he would always be in her heart, but not being able to see his crooked smile or hear his gleeful laugh was causing her heart to ache. I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone And though your still here with me I’ve been alone all along When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears And I’ve held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me. 	Awww! That is so sweet! And sad! Jacen and Tenel Ka are so meant for each other! sigh And I love bringing back Jacen's guest room from "Lightsabers"! Very clever! Who knows, maybe one day... I mean, the NJO left their options open, at least! And that is one of my favorite songs on the album! Excellent job! -----signature----- L/M since reading HttE in '96. 	Awwwwwwe..... I love that song...very nicely done, very sad, but slightly hopeful because Jacen is still alive...love that she is his reason for keeping going.
