	Okay, I started writing this a few months ago but I'm just posting it now. Summary: A strike team is on a mission on Earth to recover someone sent there a long time ago for protection. Dramatis Personai: Anakin Solo(Jedi Knight) Danni Quee(Jedi in training) Ganner Rhysode(Jedi Knight) Jacen Solo(Jedi Knight) Jag Fel(Squadron Commander, Chiss Pilot) Jaina Solo(Jedi Knight, Squadron Commander, NR Pilot) Kyp Durron(Jedi Knight, Squadron Commander, Jedi Pilot) Nicole Branson(Freshman) Tahiri Veila(Jedi Knight) Tasha Fel(Chiss, Strike team) Tenel Ka(Jedi Knight) Valin Horn(Jedi Knight) Zena Fel(Chiss, Strike team) Disclaimer:I don't own anything that you recognize, most of it belongs to Star Wars authors or George Lucas. This first chapter just sets up the story. It'll all be explained later, K? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter One: The noises in the room kept fading in and out as she nodded off to sleep, and then woke up again. It wasn’t as if there were anything interesting going on; the teacher at the front of the room was lecturing, his voice becoming an endless, background drone in that hazy world between sleeping and waking. “Nicole Branson” a loud voice called her name, instantly snapping her out of dreamland. She jumped slightly and sat up straight, looking for who had called her name. One of the office TA’s was waiting by the door with a pink slip of paper. Pink slips were good; they usually got you out of school for the rest of the day. Gathering her backpack and jacket, Nicole smiled at the TA and headed out of the room. “I don’t recognize you, did you transfer to be a TA?” she asked the girl, just to be friendly. The office TA frowned slightly, “I am not an office TA,” she said, glancing casually around them. A little miffed by the girls reply, Nicole decided to press the matter. “Then who are you and how…” she didn’t get to finish her sentence. The girl had been looking at something behind Nicole’s back when suddenly her eyes widened and she took off running, puling Nicole along after her. The girl turned and went into a nearby bathroom, dragging Nicole after her. “We should be safe here, for now.” She said, her breathing had returned to normal and she sank down to the floor, pulling her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. “What’s going on?” Nicole asked, eying the girl carefully. She could be dangerous, She thought to herself, I’d better be careful. The girl looked up sharply and seemed slightly startled by the question. When she didn’t offer any answer, Nicole continued, “I mean, you don’t wor******e **** yet you managed to get me out of class and then, when we’re outside, you grab me and pull me in here. Now we’re supposedly ‘safe’ from who knows what! Don’t you think I deserve and explanation?” Throughout all this the girl had just sat patiently, a slightly puzzled expression on her face. Nicole glanced nervously at her and, for the first time, took in the girl’s appearance. She wasn’t very tall, probably about her own height, with short, blonde hair and bright green eyes. She was thin, but not underweight, and wearing a loose fitting flannel over a black t-shirt and jeans that were cut at the bottom to be the right length. She wasn’t wearing any jewelry or makeup of any kind, yet she was still pretty. Nicole observed all of this in the time it took the girl to stand up and brush the dirt off her clothes. She stuck out her hand and smiled, “Well, I guess I should introduce myself then. I’m Ashley and I’d say it’s safe to leave again.” It wasn’t until they were back out in the sunlight that Nicole noticed faint markings on the girl’s forehead, symbols she had never seen before. She could only barely see them now, like there had once been scars there and this is what was left. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You like? Can anyone guess who Ashley is? Hmmm? Well, please tell me what you think. I'm finishing the next chapter. 	Okay...here's the next chapter! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter Two: Kyle looked over the sheet of paper in front of him, he sighed. He wasn’t any good at math and this was the hardest quiz yet. It didn’t help that he’d only been at this school for three months. He and a group of other students, including his sister, had been transferred from Canton High to this school, Williston High, a few months back; or at least, that’s what their cover story was. They had it all backed up with forged papers and everything. This was a very in depth mission, and one of the longest and complicated ones he had ever participated in. Giving another sigh, Kyle picked up his pencil and started to work out the first few problems on the paper. Anna Deyez glanced across the room, trying to see if her boyfriend was having as much trouble with this math quiz as she was. This was the only class they had together and she hated that they had to sit halfway across the room from each other. The only time they really got to see each other was at lunch, when they were with the rest of their friends; they couldn’t even all hang out together because it would look strange for the whole transfer group to hang out with only each other all the time. They had to mingle with other kids and hang out in three separate groups, even pretend to dislike each other. This was the hardest mission yet, Master Skywalker had insisted they take every precaution, even get certain grades, which meant actually doing homework every night. “Miss Deyez! Will you please hand in your quiz!” the teacher was standing there, an impatient look on her face; the bell had rung and the remaining students were eyeing her curiously. Anna glanced at her boyfriend; an almost accusing look crossed her face. Kyle just shrugged and gave her a helpless look, as if to say “I couldn’t do anything to warn you, we’re not supposed to use the force, remember?” She sighed; not using the force was the hardest part of the mission. They could still sense danger and read peoples emotions, but Master Skywalker had said it would be to suspicious if they did any more. The people on this planet couldn’t use the force, although they were a strong presence in it, they just didn’t seem to realize it was there. They weren’t as advanced as the rest of the universe; they couldn’t even manage space travel yet. It was quite interesting to live here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Max Correr walked up to the front of the class with all the confidence a Chiss fighter pilot should have, yet he couldn’t help feeling a slight bit nervous; this was a new subject to him and he hadn’t practiced as much as he needed to. Now he was going to give a report to his class and he didn’t let any of his emotions show, putting his chiss training to good use. Jaina…no, Isabel, he corrected himself, remembering to use Jaina’s cover name, Isabel was wrong, chiss training was good for something. He smiled at that thought and launched into his report on the First World War that this planet had had. It was really quite an interesting event, if you thought about it. They had come so far, yet not nearly as far as the Chiss; or even the New Republic, for that matter. Kevin Agular settled back in his desk chair. This should be interesting; Max was giving a report on this planet’s “WWI” and he didn’t know squat about it, well, at least not enough to give a full, three minute report on it. A smile appeared on his lips as he watched Max end the report and return to his seat; he caught his attention and, when Max saw he was smiling, he gave him a “your next” look that wiped the smile off Kevin’s face. Master Skywalker had told them all at their last briefing that they would each have to achieve a certain grade average and take on a certain personality. This was driving Max crazy because he had been told he would have to keep his grades just above failing. The one good part about this was that he got to be a trouble-maker and he loved it. Kevin grimaced and walked up to the front; he had to get excellent grades and wasn’t supposed to get into any trouble. This was especially hard for him to do, given his past, and he suspected Master Luke gave him this identity just to bug him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Hey! Isabel!” Isabel turned around at the sound of her name, and grimaced. She had hoped to see one of her friends, instead she saw Melvin, the freaky kid who sat behind her in History. He was always following her around and there were rumors that he was going to ask her out. She really didn’t want that, so she tried to avoid him as much as possible; the only problem was that she had several classes with him. Maybe I should ask Jag-no, Max, to take care of him for me. I guess we have to officially start dating first. We were supposed to wait a few weeks but, this is getting ridiculous!
