Code of the Warrior----- Respone to OC Dueling Challenge #5 Read please.

Title: Code of the Warrior.
Author: Aiden_Sanic
Genre: Patrial Romance
Summary: A Yuuzhan Vong Warrior from a strong blood family falls in love with a female human.
Notes: This is a respone to the OC DUELING CHALLENGE #5 in which an OC character from a long line of ( Fill in blank ) gets pressured from a recent twist of fate, which could affect certain people. The Challenge is something like that, but I hope you like it anyway.
HERE YOU GO!
The door opened for me as I approached it. Within the Worldship known as Klendathu, I walked inside the room in which the embrace of pain had colied it's restraints on the captive infidel I have come to known as Uliran. This has been the 7th time I have come to interrogate this non-believer. Apparently commander Dalak Har had informed me that she knows about the Borleais plans, and wants that information so he could send it to the Warmaster. Inserting the tizowyrm into my ear I heard the pathetic one call out weakened curses and blasphemies to me. With a swift stroke I took my amphistaff and struck the tip across her face, a rip appeared in her cheek as blood ozzed from the wound.
I uttered a command to the eye-vines. The eyes that watched the interrogation and sent the recording to the commander suddenly turned off, leaving me and her alone and all mine. I waited a few seconds to confirm no one was watching before I made my move.
I dropped the amphistaff and uttered yet another command to the restraits that held Uliran in the embrace feeding her pain. They loosened and I instantly caught her as she began to fall due to weakness and pain. I held her in my scarred arms, whispering endaerments to my
Del'har, in the way of her language anyway. I simply hugged her and whispered my apologies to her, as I held her for the longest of minutes.
" I don't believe they suspected anything this time." I said to her after spending 5 minutes in her soft arms, I noticed that when I hugged her a little tight, her body tunred red. I forgot that she easily bruised due to the embrace of pain's.... teachings.
" This time, yes. I think I brushed up on my cursings though, and that's never a bad thing." She said in a weak voice. I told her to stay quiet for a while, so her voice strength vould come back.
" I missed you, Uliran. I slayed tens of infidels thinking of you." I said as I ran a finger very softly down her cheek, so that it wouldn't bruise. When I had found out that I had loved a human, I had tried as hard as the gods would to not cause her any pain. Though unfortunatley to my heart's despair, she had to be kept in the embrace. It shocked me to notice that I had thought in the way I thought now. I feared for anothers life.
I feared. I did the forbidden. All for love.
While Yuuzhan Vong could love of course, most of the time a warrior would reproduce to only keep a stock of warriors. To love an infidel, no. Not an infidel, to love a human, would certainly bring death.
I come from a warrior domain that has made itself known to the entire galaxy. A name that had inspired fear and hate upon the whole galaxy. What makes me sad, and angry at the same time, is that there was once a time when I had enjoyed the fear that my domain has brought. Now I only hate what it has done. I am confused all of the time now, I think of fear, I feel sorry for the people I know kill. Uliran says I am becoming more, human. I no longer fear what I am becoming either, I like it. For being human, gets me closer to her, my
Del'har.
" Well, that's an improvement, now you kill tens instead of hundreds. Pretty soon you won't kill at all." She said after a few minutes of coughing.
I was sad when I heard the casualness in her voice, when she accepted the fact that I had killed. I had taken several lives away from this world. I soaked blood on the floor, and didn't even care.
At once I set her down gently and sat down shaking and shuddering.
" I hate what I have become! I hate what I have been!" I yelled to the ceiling.
" It's ok... it's ok," she said as she hugged he, " knowing is half the solution to any problem."
" But I hate what this war has done to you! What my people, what I have done to you. We have made you accept death! We made you become just like us! I should be happy for this, I should be proud that I made you one of us. Now I am disgusted! I don't know what to do, you have made things so wonderfull for me, yet so miserable at the same time!" I said shakingly.
" Why do you continue to kill for your people? You have found humanity, come with us, come to me. I promise I'll help you with everything I can to make sure you never come to harm again. I love you, and that alone should help you find a human under all those scars. Won't you come with me?" She asked, in a pleading look.
I could never leave the Yuuzhan Vong. I was a warrior, and served the glorious Yuuzhan Vong gods. That I could never change. Though I killed, it was for the gods. To leave the gods only meant death, there was no alternative. I had to stay with me people.
No matter what the circumstance.
But for love?
I looked into Uliran's blue eyes, I could see a warrior's spirit in there. A motive that kept her trying to "save" me, and I could see the honesty of her love, and the strength of her tenacity. She would never give up on me, as long as she lived.
Unfortunatley, it might not be that long.
" Uliran... I'm sorry. But I am Yuuzhan Vong, the sooner you realize that, the better off both of us will be."
Slowly I got up from the floor, and I took Uliran's warm hand into my cold one. On the verge of getting on the floor again I wrapped Uliran in the embrace again.
" Oh Uliran... please belive me, I'm sorry." I put the palm of my hand to her cheek, as she looked at me with the same spirit she always had from the moment I saw her struggling as she entered the worldship.
" I'm sorry..." I said, as I noticed a drop of clear liquid fall from my eye to the floor.
What was that?! I thought as I bent down and looked at the drop of clear liquid that had scattered in minuature puddles. I was panicked, I didn't know what I just did.
" Do you know what you did?" Uliran asked, for she had seen the look on my face. She was just as puzzled as I was.
" You know what happened?" I asked, I was desperate for an answer.
" You just cried, that was a tear. You were sad." That was all she said, there was a tone of pity in her voice.
A tear? I have heard several stories from warriors of humans who were killed in front of others who had secreted some kind of fluid from there eyes when a human was killed. This act didn't have a name and was very interesting to some of us warriors.
I had.... cried? Such a concept was completley unknown to us. I have never heard of a tear, nor had seen a warrior... cry.
" Why have I never seen you cry?" I asked. The question came into my mind and out of my scarred mouth in a second.
She looked at me with another spirited look, " beings cry when they have lost someone dear to them," she said and a smile came to her face.
" I haven't lost you, nor will I ever," she finshed.
I looked at her with suprise, and before I could cry again I uttered a command that engaged the embrace of pain, and dear Uliran trembled in it's grip. Her eyes gazing hard into mine, never shedding a single tear. I bent down and picked up the amphistaff I had dropped, becoming the warrior once more, and gave Uliran one soft look.
" I love you," I said.
" I know," Uliran said, and through the weakness of her body, and the pain in her muscles, she smiled at me.
With a hardened voice, I gave the command to let the vine-eyes open again, recording the scene again.
My moment of peace gone once more, and the life of a warrior that would now and forever more seep into my body, I Tarragus Lah, walked out of the room.
END POST.

Very interesting work. You did a great job capturing the character's conflict, being torn between his background and his feelings for her. Well done.

Wow, just what the warrior did to cover his love was disturbing. Granted I know little of Yuuzhan Vong, but your descriptions and detail certainly pulled me into the story. Superb job.

Awesome.
I can't believe she made him cry. It almost made me cry.
" Well, that's an improvement, now you kill tens instead of hundreds. Pretty soon you won't kill at all." She said after a few minutes of coughing.
If that's not love for a Vong I don't know what is.
I simply loved this. Great job and great challenge entry.
Good luck in the voting.
