	Okay, this plot bunny is about to kill me. I'm almost done with a fic, so I figured I'll just post this now before it drives me crazy. Summary: Jaina was married when she was 17. Her and her husband have one child. Seven years later, when war strikes the New Republic, the Chiss send an envoy to check it out. Will Jaina meeting Jag ruin her marriage or was it already doomed? Will the New Republic survive? ~~~ Chapter 1 Jaina Solo Reeve woke up feeling the same way she did every morning; resentment. She was not happy. She hadn't been happy for six and a half long years. She was married too young, she knew that now. They had only dated a year. After the first six months, Jaina began to fall out of love. She wanted a divorce, but when she learned she was pregnant, she couldn't do it and she hated herself every day for not doing it. Any minute now her husband Charly would awaken. He would kiss her softly, as he did every morning, then go to the 'fresher to get ready for work. She hated it. Jaina braced herself for another day. ~~~ "Mommy!" six year old Molli screeched as she ran over to Jaina. She was picking her up from Han and Leia's, who babysat for her. Jaina smiled at her little girl, "Did you have fun, sweetie?" "Yes, Mommy, do I really have to start school tomorrow?" she asked. "Yes," Jaina answered, then turned to her mother, "Thank you, mom." "No problem, dear," Leia answered. Jaina and Molli left. Charly would have dinner waiting, as usual. Molli chatted about her day till they reached the apartment. She ran inside to great her father. She loved him so much. Dinner went as usual. Molli talked about her day and such. Charly then took her to get ready for school the next day. Jaina cleaned up in the kitchen. She had met Charly right after leaving Yavin IV. She had completed her traning as a Jedi and gotten married anyway. Everyone was against it. They were right. She was too young. Charly was any girl's dream. He had sandy blond hair and dreamy blue eyes. He was the perfect hieght and build. He was a gentlemen. He was any girl's dream husband. 	oldjedinurse I was thinking a few weeks ago about how many fics are similar and out came this idea. I have this one pretty much planned out too, which is a shocker. Thanks! 	~~~ Chapter 2 The New Republic has fallen into disarray, that much was obvious. Jaina stood in Gavin Darklighter's office, staring at the screen. Bickering and bribery, that's all it was. Nothing was ever done. Leia had been tempted to go back into politics, but after Molli came, she was in total grandmother mode. She was practically begging Anakin and Tahiri, who had been married for a year, for more grandchildren. Of course, Leia couldn't stay out of the political arena all the way. She was the only one the Imperials trusted, which was incrediablly ironic. "Its a mess," Gavin said as he sat behind his desk. Jaina nodded, "Yes, sir." "Keep this confidential, Colonel. War is coming. I want you the Rogues to be ready." "Yes, sir," Jaina responded. She was, after all, second-in-command of the squadron, "We'll be ready." ~~~ Colonel Jagged Fel of the Chiss stood hands clasped behind his back in front of his father, Baron Soontir Fel. "Any day now, the New Republic is going to crumble. War is coming and Colonel, you are being sent to Corescant to deliver our information to the New Republic Intelligence," Soontir instructed. Jag was surprised, but didn't show it, "What is being given in return?" "This is merely a cover-up. Two of the Vanguards are going after some information. Contact me immedianty if any problems arise. You are to depart at 0800 tomorrow," Soontir finished, handing Jag a datacard. His voice then soften, "Jag, make sure you see your mother before you go." "I will," Jag nodded, then left. He wondered what the information was, but it wasn't his job to know. He would do as ordered. ~~~ Jaina sat on her bed, trying to come up with new simulations for the Rogues. Gavin would have to approve them, of course. "Mommy!" Molli screeched as she ran in and jumped on the bed. "Oh, Molli, how many times have I told you not to jump on the bed when I have work on it?" Jaina scolded. "Lots..." Molli mumbled. "There you are," Charly said, coming into the room, "Honey, don't interupt mommy while she is working." "But I want her to tell me a story!" Molli whined. "I'll be in there. Don't I always come when its time for you to go to bed?" "Yes," Molli answered and left the room. "Sorry," Charly apologized and kissed her. "Its okay," Jaina answered. "You alright?" he asked. Jaina sighed. She couldn't have this conversation now, "Its just this work. I'll be fine." "Okay, if you're sure..." "I am," she responded. He nodded and went to Molli's room. She flopped back on the bed. She was going to have to talk to him soon. She had been telling herself that for years. She didn't want to hurt him. Jaina stood up. Now just wasn't the time. ~~~ Jag's squadron had been instructed to land in the same hanger complex as the Rogue Squadron. He was on his back from Gavin Darklighter's office. Jag spotted a brunette walking towards him. She was absolutely beautiful. Jag slowed his gait to get a better look without seeming too obvious. "Excuse me?" "Pardon?" Jag replied when the woman spoke. "Are you lost?" "No, thank you," Jag stared at her. She looked somewhat familiar. "You're from the Chiss, aren't you?" she asked. "Yes, Colonel Jagged Fel," he introduced with a nod. "Jaina," she smiled. "Jaina Solo?" he asked, finally remembering. "Yes, in the flesh," Jaina responded, "How long are you here?" "I'm not sure yet," he answered. There was something at the back of his mind that had triggered when he heard her name. Something really important. "It was nice to meet you. I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing," Jaina said, smiling. She walked away. Jag blinked. He hadn't expected her to be so nice at all. He had heard that she was really rude and spoiled. There was still something eluding him about her, he just couldn't put his finger on it. ~~~ Jaina walked into her tiny office frowning. I didn't tell him my full name. It was known that she was married, but Jacen's exploits were much more interesting. He was the only Solo child not to have settled down. It was much more scandelous for tabloid and holojournists to make up stories about Jacen's love life. Anakin was on Yavin IV all the time and Jaina had stayed out of the limelight. To sum it up, married people were boring. There were no signs of cheating. No signs of domestic abuse or drugs or type of scandel. Jaina sat down at her desk. She knew it wouldn't be long before the media came down on her. Her family knew of her unhappy marriage. Sooner or later, the public would learn too. Jaina had never cheated on her husband. No one had really caught her eye. She wasn't sure why she started talking to Colonel Fel. Something drew her to him. Anakin would say the Force. She didn't know. Jaina shook her head. 	snags 1st Really refresing story. I particulary enjoyed Jaina and Jag's reunion (of sorts). The pace of the fic is really well done. Flows nicely. It'll be interesting to see where you take this. While Jaina isn't happy in her marriage, you do make us (or me at least ) feel sympathy for Charly. -----signature----- May the Muse be with you.
