	^ Well, the thing you need to understand about the Ewoks is what they represent. They were put into the film to prove a point that you don't need technology and a grand army to win. The Ewoks were the underdogs and they used their land to their advantage to help the Rebels win. So, having the Ewoks throwing rocks/boulders and flinging stones using slingshots was believable. Now, if they were armed with high-tech lasers and used them to fight against the Empire, that would have been just plain silly. Rocks work for me. They were also thrown into the mix as a diversion. The Rebels are the ones that truly won the war. 	Most people hate it because of the Ewoks, which is a bad reason for hating it IMO. The Ewoks don't bother me at all. Besides, they made good underdogs. I thought ROTJ was excellent. If there is one weak point I think it is Leia being revealed as Luke's sister, and also saying "I always knew". It makes those kissing scenes pretty creepy now. Also, we already had one major secret revealed in that Vader and Luke were related. Luke and Leia being related seemed kind of unnecessary and repetitive. -----signature----- Lucas saved up all the excellence for the last one.

	I don't think it is considered a bad movie, because any Star Wars fan knows there is no "bad" Star Wars movie. But when you compare ROTJ to ANH and ESB, it definitely is inferior. The start of the movie with Jabba the Hut goes on way too long, The Ewoks are too kiddy, and the ending zig-zags around too much. Although, the Vader, Luke, Emperor ending is awesome. I love all Star Wars movies and I've watched ROTJ hundreds of times, but in comparison to the other Classic Trilogy movies, it is definitely #3.

	It's good to see other points being mentioned for not liking it other than the Ewoks. However with that said, I honestly don't have problems with some of the other stuff said. I think the special effects were good, the time frame for Jabba's palace wasn't a problem, the Luke/Leia thing didn't bug me, and I can't see how anyone could not like the final duel. Basically, I never had a problem with ROTJ. I think it's a perfect film just like the others. -----signature----- Everyone is entitled to my opinion. Go Toronto sports teams! 	I don't think I've seen many people say ROTJ was a particularly bad film to be honest. Personally tho I think it would've been better if it didn't have a second Death Star. I think that maybe people saw that as a bit of a cop-out, just rehashing the ending of ANH. And I'm sure the Ewoks were just too teddy-bear like for a lot of people... P.S. Oh, and as LLS says, Bikini Leia! That alone keeps it from a 'crap film' status... -----signature----- A tiger? 	i like the ewoks i think they finish the saga off nicley. 	Well, Leia wasn't supposed to be Luke's sister Leia hears Luke calling for her in ESB. The seeds were planted in the second film. 	the only major criticism I have for all the movies is I wish GL would've used better actors or re-shot some of the smaller lines like "she's gonna blow" in VI and "two fighters against a star destroyer?" in V.
