It'd just be an account of the Mandos in a concentration camp set up by the Jedi.

Nazi Jedi? Why not, it'd be entertaining at least!

Check out her website if you don't believe me.

BTW, drinking game: Shot every time a Nazi in an old war movie doesn't say "Nicht schieße!" (Don't shoot!) right. Chug if they transpose the e and the i.

No. What she's done to Legacy and the Clone Wars (not to mention the upcoming Dark Times novels) is quite enough damage to canon, thanks.

No, people are already unhappy with her about a lot of continuity problems, I predict the same would happen with something like this.

She's writing her own post-LOTF Boba Fett novel, and all those Clone War novels, that should be enough.

Have you given it a try? I would say KOTOR is the best era going right now. The games were awesome and the comics are stellar. I would love a couple of novels and some more stories from that era.

I liked both video games very much and didn't hate the two Bane novels. I admit I don't like that Revan and the Exile have been defined now outside of the games. I do want to give the comics a try but am waiting to get a deal on the Trades.

See I'm pretty NJO/Empire centric in my geekery tongue . I just can't wrap my head around a galaxy with no Galactic Empire or its off shoots. happy

TOR has got you covered there. Plenty of Emprie to go around.

No, she shouldn't. I'm a fan of Traviss, but I do think we should get some alternate looks as to what comprises the whole Mandalorian thing. It's all well and good to show how loving and accepting the culture is when it comes to family, but often with Traviss's work I get the feeling that she chooses to downplay the whole idea that Mandalorians are soldiers of fortune who willingly kill for money. I'd like to see the Mandalorians tackled by someone who's not going to pull their punches when it comes to showing the dirty side of the culture. Also, I agree that it would be refreshing to see Traviss tackle a non-Mandalorian Star Wars project. She's talented enough that she shouldn't be constraining herself to one mode of storytelling.

What? You don't believe Boba Fett was a key figure in the Vong War? I mean, granted I can't remember reading about him in any NJO novel, but I'm sure he did something.

He saves Han and Leia in THE UNIFYING FORCE during the space station battle.

There's also the bit in the old Tales comics where Boba says he's rebuilding the Supercommandos and hunts Solo. I don't know if Traviss brought that back into canon or not.

I don´t think he was talking about that specific example you chose to focus on.

As for me, "no thanks" to Traviss getting another chance at writing her eternal "Mandalorians = Gods / Jedi = Evil" stuff. There is one person I´d want as far away as possible from writing Bastila and the others.

A Mandalorian novel I'd want to read.

A Traviss Mandalorian novel I wouldn't want to read. Very different things.

I'm curious what exactly her Legacy and Clone Wars books have done to damage canon? I'll certainly grant that Republic Comnmando had numerous creative overwrites of previous canon but I never noticed anything shattering in the other series. thinking

It's not so much damage to canon as much as damage to characterization and plot.

I am all for Karen Traviss writing a Mandalorian War Novel. The rest of the fan force here in Louisville would also welcome it. We love her work!

I recommend that everyone read her Republic Commando series.
