Wheet!
I'm back on the boards!
Small warning for this fic though, this is the first one that I've ever posted that is not complete as I put it up on the boards. Though I do know how and where I want things to go.
Kay? Good.
Let's begin then!

Mythology
Introduction
~~~
It was never an easy thing for him to do. The Seventeen year old gracefully threw a midnight cloak over his cream tunics and watched as the candle light passed beneath the door frame, as he prepared to commit the gravest offense he had ever done. Obi-Wan Kenobi was about betray the trust of his mentor and Master. It would be easier to face the mans anger, than the sorrow that would follow the events of this night if he failed to manage to make everything come to a conclusion that would satisfy his Master.
It would be easier to die than to see the man in pain. Besides that, he would never forgive himself if the tiny baby son of his master fell into the hands of those that wished him harm. After all, the tiny baby boy, names Anakin Skywalker, would be the next Emperor following his most esteemed father. Meaning that the small Master would one day be the Master, and Obi-Wan would rather die than allow anything to happen to him. His sense of loyalty simply would not allow something like that to happen while he still drew breath.
So it was that after the candlelight disappeared from beneath his door, Obi-Wan opened the door to his chambers and into the cold hallways of the Imperial Palace of the royal city of Coruscant. Everything within the palace cold, even though the fireplaces and torches lit the corridors with light and provided the warmth necessary for those within to be more than comfortable even in the horrible winter months that covered the city in the snows that descended in the longest months of winter. A large part of the feeling had to do with the horrifyingly beautiful black marble that made the floors of the fortress. The stone seemed to be marred with angry red scars through its core, and they seemed to drink the comforting light of the flames that in any other place would have been a welcoming sight for those kept within its walls.
His footsteps did not echo as the darkly lacquered wood paneling over even blacker stone walls absorbed the sounds as greedily as the unforgiving floor. Obi-Wan swiftly pressed himself to the wall as the soft sounds of another's footsteps drew near his own. The white clad figure of one of the many servants fluttered past him as if the being didn't even truly exist, like ghosts haunting the realms of the living for no purpose but to keep the dark halls filled, spirits of those that could not escape the ever hungry mouth of the fortress of the Emperor.
As the figure disappeared down the famished corridors, Obi-Wan removed himself from the wall. After all, he would not risk the anger of his Master before he could prove his claim to be true. He did not want to be executed for breaking his curfew when he still needed to defend the Imperial Prince.
Following the last few twists in the hallways he reached the dark red doors that led to the room the small Imperial Prince currently occupied. Silently, he pressed the doors open and slipped within the chambers. The room had been darkened to allow the tiny prince to sleep, and the only sound Obi-Wan could here in the room was the softness of the babes nearly soundless breathing.
Creeping up to the crib, Obi-Wan smiled down at the quiet babe, who cooed happily at the warm face above the crib. Picking the child up, and gently hushing even the babies soft noises, he whispered, “Sleep Anakin. Have no fear. I am here, and I will watch over you.”
It was then that the first sounds of battle began to reach the pair. Obi-Wan cautiously shifted the babe onto one arm, and burst into the nurses quarters. “Wake up!” He demanded loudly. Groggily she sat, and blinked up at the man who stood above her bed with the baby. “Take the child, and get to safety. And so help me that if any harm should fall onto even a hair on that child, I will make you pay so dearly that you will pray for death to take you!”
Trembling the nursemaid took the child, wrapped him securely in a warm blanket and stole away from the room as quickly as her feet could carry her.
Obi-Wan himself moved back towards the main room, and swiftly placed himself in the shadows by the cradle where the small Prince had previously been held. He did not wait long, when the first light of a candle made itself known from underneath the doorway. Even if he himself failed in defeating whatever enemy made himself known, he will have made sure of the success of his Master. He would have bought more than enough time for the Master and his son to have safely made their way through the escape passages and make it safely to the Imperial Safe House, where both of his masters would be safely hidden from those who wished to harm them. From there, the Master could formulate and enact a counterstrike.
It was only then that the battle reached the sacred chambers that had once held the future of the Empire. Obi-Wan stood stock still as the door handle turned and loosened, permitting the entry of a lone man. Chestnut hair ran down to just past the mans shoulders, and he was swathed gently in cream and brown colored tunics that immediately identified him as the enemy. The man was Jedi.
Gah. Wanted to be the first to reply.
Oooh, padawan, welcome back!
Loved it. It's an interesting premise, and Obi-Wan's caught in the thick of it all. And I can't wait for more.
I literally do not know who I am. It's all untested. Am I funny? Am I sarcastic? Sexy? Right old misery? Life and soul? Right-handed? Left-handed? A gambler? A fighter? A coward? A traitor? A nervous wreck? Judging by the evidence, I've certainly got
