*Like poetry? Then this is the challenge for you. The rules are simple. Below is a list of the numbers one through fifty. You pick a number, and pm it to me, and I'll pm you a poem. You must then write a short fic based off of that poem. You can use any characters you want, cannon or OC in any forum and any genre. The only catch is, at least four lines of the poem must appear in the fic (if it's less than four lines, you must use the whole thing). Bold them, highlight them, whatever you want; just make them visible. (And they don't have to be all in a row, or all at once; they just have to be there.)

*When you post your story, put the title, and author of the poem you were given somewhere on your post, and pm me the link so I can put it in an index at the beginning of this thread. I figure about a month is a fair amount of time for this, so I'll give you until March 18th to post your entry (because February's a short month, I'll give you thirty days).

*There will be no "winners" or anything for this challenge: it's not a competition. The purpose is to challenge you and make you a better writer.

*If anything is unclear let me know and I'll do my best to make it clear.

*I'll do my best to read all the entries, but I'll not make any guarantees, because college is hard and time-consuming.

*Warning: For the purposes of this challenge, I am defining a poem as anything from a Shakespearian sonnet to a nursery rhyme; and I'm a big Kipling fan, so ther's a lot of his stuff in there. devil

*Note: If you want to, you can write another poem based on the poem I gave you. You must still include at least four lines from the original.
