Hello, Again! I've Been Away From A Computer For Two Years! I've Posted This Thread WAAAAY Back, And I'm Still Curious To Reactions. Now I'm Finally Back Here In The Forums!
I Know This May Not Have Been Originally Planned, But Now That It IS An Integral Part Of The Skywalker Saga...When Leia And Vader Exchanged Those Long Glances In The Carbon-Freezing Chamber In ESB...Did They Sense A HINT Of Their Connection To Each Other? Also Do You Think...Seeing How In Love Leia Was With Han...She Reminded Him Of Padme And His Past With Her?

I don't think either of them knew anything of each other. Leia is very suprised in ROTJ when Luke tells her, and Vader seems quite suprised as well when he probes Luke's mind in ROTJ.

I don' t think either one of them knew. Leia could just be looking at him and wondering how someone could be that ruthless- he used an interrogation driod on her, he blew up her home planet, he ordered her termination, and now he's going to kill the man she loves.

Well, it was Tarkin who ordered her termination, though I don't that one subtraction from Vader's list improved her view of him. 
Just though of what my above post said:
Vader may have sensed the Force in Leia, or something, as he never did apparently find out or atleast say that he knew it was Leia who was his daughter, he just knew he had one.

I have ALWAYS wondered about the split moment that Liea and Vader look at each other.
But now, that someone just mentioned Aalderaan, its like I just remembered she'd been around Vader before. A good duration of ANH. This doesnt say what the glance may be but I realized that by the time of ESB I have totally seperated Vader from Liea. Man, Vader must want to do a ScoobyDoo villain and say "If it wernt for you meddling kids.."

I did like the long exchange in the Carbon Freezing Chamber. I think it's just one of those subtle things. At that point in the story, it's just she got captured a second time by him and now he's torturing those she loves.

I always wondered that, as well. I'd have to agree with LASTJEDICHOSENONE, I believe they each felt some sort of connection but probably couldn't pin point an exact reason why. The other statement is logical, too. Darth Vader was probably staring at Leia because her strong feelings for Han brought back memories of his intense feelings for Padme'.

I definatly think they sense a connectin but they can't tell why. Similar to how Luke and Leia sense a connection but think their connection is love.

Remember, just before that shot we see Vader hold Boba Fett's blaster down and stop him from shooting Chewie.
I think Leia is wondering why Chewie isn't dead and why Vader would care whether Chewbacca gets killed or not. At this point, I think she begins to wonder about Vader and possible connections, even if she doesn't consciously know the truth.

I always just imagined Vader smirking behind that mask, just being a d*ck. I HAVE always wondered why Boba would attempt to shoot Chewie. Why would he care? His bounty wasnt in jeopardy, why not let the stormtroopers handle it?
