How did Vader get to Bespin first?

What the hell am I missing here? Fett tracked Solo after the Falcon floated away with rest of the garbage, but how did he know he was going to Bespin and how could he have alerted Vader in order for the trap to be set?
I probably should know better, but I just can't think at the moment.

Boba Fett concluded the Falcon was going to Bespin, informed Vader and they all jumped ahead in Hyperspace, while the Falcon was limping there on backup drives or something.
How exactly Fett knew they were going to Bespin could possibly have several reasons. But a simple one would be, he looked in which direction they were flying and saw that Bespin is the only thing on that way 
somebody else probably can explain that better, but I don't think it's wrong

It took the Falcon almost 3 months to get there, so Fett had all the time in the world to figure out where they were going.

Official sources say that the events in TESB take about three months. I read that Lucas regretted that the timespan wasn't apparent in the movie.
It makes sense, when you think about Luke's training.

I never thought that it was three months in the interim of that journey! Still don't. I don't really buy how Fett could have made such an accurate conclusion either; enough to convice Vader to not only go himself but send a battalion of troopers, take over Cloud City and organise a carbon freezing trap for Han.
Still seems suspect to me somehow.....

There must have not been any locations other then Bespin that was close enough. Fett must have tracked them for a while, since he knew that the Falcon's hyperdrive was down.

LFL, presumably. You should ask Bib, because I don't know. I just know that he is very well informed on everything official in Star Wars.
I just posted what I think, based on what I've read and believe. If you want proof, you'll have to search for it yourself, because there's no point for me to do it.

The timeframe that has been given for ESB is about 3 months. Its just like how ANH was only a few days, a week tops.
Jedi, is correct as far Fett is concerned, IIRC. Only thing I don't understand is why the Falcon didn't catch Fett tailing them right after the Fleet left.

That's the part I don't have trouble with funnily enough, you'd imagine Fett has all manner of jamming and stealth devices on Slave I.

Well, Vader could've always arrived after the fact too, and made the deal with Lando. Han and Leia would've never been able to find out because they were holed up in that little apartment.

Well Lando lied about everything else, so why would he suddenly start being truthful? It took Chewie's strangle hold to get him to be really helpful.
