I have always wondered how or if Vader sleeps with his helmet on. Does he have a special type of pillow mold frame to fit his helmet or does he remove the helmet and sleeps in his hyperbaric chamber.

If I were him, I'd sleep in the meditation chamber.
Maybe the suit makes it so he doesn't have to lie down to sleep as often. Hmmmm... I wonder.

I don't think Vader sleeps, I think he meditates. I'm guessing the same applies to Palpatine.

He's more machine then man, with a constant power supply. I doubt he sleeps.
Meditation with a little REM is the best explination I would think.
As for food and waste removal. Same thing. That black box on his chest gives him everything he needs.

Does he even need it? Alot of the damage seen seems to suggest severe damage to the lower body and torso from his lava burn. I wouldn't be surprised if he's missing numerous organs and is really just a torso's worth of flesh with *maybe* a heart and brain functioning properly (hence the need for a breathing apparatus).

Yeah, I doubt he eats or sleeps. Who knows what kind of operations he went through to become less of a human.

For all we know, he's probably dozed off on the bridge of the Executor. Can't tell with that helmet on anyway.

Piett: "My Lord?"
*Vader says nothing*
Piett: "Ummm...Lord Vader?"

Of course not I doubt he even sleeps at all. he's barely even human anymore, he's basically a cyborg now. So my answer for your question would be no he doesnt sleep with his melmet on, he doesnt sleep at all. of course now I'm just repeating myself but Oh well.

I'm with Loco for Lucas on this one. I think he just passes out in the suit. It probably designed so that I automatically locks into standing position when he wants to sleep.
What I really wanna know is this though. What's the suit cleaning situation? Does he have more than one? Are there washing instructions on it? Do they just buff and polish it while he is still wearing it. Does he clean it himself?
