Ok Luke goes nuts on him and cuts off his hand. Then Vader throws Palpatine over the bridge and kills him, killing Vader to? This has been my only question about the whole Star Wars Series.

He dies of suffication and because perhaps he finally fulfilled his task as the Chosen One, looking at the saga as a whole.

Wouldn't this be better suited for CT, unless you're speaking about Anakin's near death experience and tie it into the PT as a whole.

I always thought that Palpatine gave Vader life, therefore when he killed Palpatine, his life source and force went with him. Sound close?

he died because his suit got short fried when he threw Palps down the shaft. You can see this just before he throws some big sparks coming out of the suit from the lightening

im really sure that luke hits his helmet with his light saber and messes up the resperirator... thats why vador went leaning on that railing where he got his hand hacked off (again...)
ive also heard people say palpatines force lightening shorted out his breathing, but from what ive seen, luke gets a peice of the mask.

it most certainly is the lightning, vader wears a mechanical suit which he cannot live without. I can imagine a surge of electricity would do a great deal of damage to a mechanical suit. just listen to the way he is wheezing at that point. there is definitely a malfunction in his mechanical respiratory system.

but vader was messed up before he threw the emperor over the edge... he was breathing all heavy... thats the only reason luke ever got at his hand... vader couldnt breath because luke hit his breathing unit thing.

Judging by the way Vader was standing next to the emperor after his fight with luke (right before the emperor tried to make him a burnt marshmellow), I have to believe at that point he didn't have any life threatening injuries.

Ya man you hafta watch and listen better. First he gets his arm chopped off...Then the Emperor lightning goes through him as he lifts him up to throw him. Now to this point Vader is exhausted and wounded badly...he can still live. But he doesn't want to. I mean what would have happened to Vader if he lived? Would he go apologizing to everyone for helping rule an evil empire the past 25 years or so. No he has no reason to live anymore, no more will. He just wants to see Lukes face and have luke see his.
Taking off Vaders mask=death.
Thats why he wears the dam thing. Idiot.
So he then dies...lukes burns his remains...then we get the ghost of anakin skywalker. FIN.

PT ~ Helpless Suited Vader dons his mask while lying down for the first time after being injured horribly and completing his turn to the Darkside. Anakin 'dies'.
OT ~Helpless Suited Vader doffs his mask while sitting down for the last time after being injured critically and completing his return to the Light. Anakin is 'reborn'.
