For some reason I always called the AT-ATs "Elephant Squashers".

Some of the things I have read are hilarious...but the thing that was always misconcieved by me was that there was no sequels to STAR WARS. I always thought it was just ONE movie and to be honest I didn't hear about TESB until about 2 years after I saw it! (HeHe) and I was about 10 years old at the time...which is sad, especially since I collected ALL the toys yet failed to notice there were MORE movies!

Masterjabba: 4.) I used to call star destoyers "The big cheese" (dont ask me why!.)
I had this same misconception but I didnt call them that, I thought they looked like cheese for some odd reason when I was young!

I remember seeing ANH when I was four. The thing that struck me was the fact that the Rebels were firing red shots and the SD was firing green. I though it was wrong because Red=bad and green=good.

Hello all. This is my first post on this board. Anyway, on the topic, I had quite a few misconceptions about the trilogy.
1. I thought that the movie "Ice Pirates" was Episode I.
2. I thought that the symbols on the back of the stormtroopers said "oil" and that they were robots, and therefore the oil would be somehow delivered through a hatch on the stormtroopers back.
3. I thought that Yoda was human, and that though he used the force to reach the age of 900 years, he was shriveled and wrinkly from age.
4. When Leia kisses Luke in ANH before they swing across the chasm, when she said "For luck" I thought she was saying "Fill up".

- I thought TIE fighters were TIME fighters.
- I thought the trench battle in ANH took place in the trench that runs along the Death Star's equator. (Later realized it was where all the landing bays were located.)
- I thought that the Death Star from ROTJ was the remains of the one destroyed in ANH and that the Empire was rebuilding it.

After reading all reading all these posts I am finding that we all have some of the same misconceptions. But can anyone explain to me how the storm troops had "Oil" on their back?
And Moff-Jerjerrod, At last someone that thought the Star destroyers looked like cheeze. I was begining to think that I was the only one.

The only thing I can remember is form ANH in the scene where Tarkin and other officers are talking at the round table on the Death Star and Vader uses the force to choke someone(I don't remember his name). I always thought that when Vader released him and his head fell towards the table that the round light underneath his mouth was something that he spit up because he was being choked.
Yeah, I thought he spit out an egg yolk.
I can't remember too many misconceptions... but whenever Darth Vader was in a tense situation, my brother would always yell to the other characters on the screen, "Press his buttons!!"

I also thought they were 'Jet-Eyes'. LOL.
I also didn't understand why the technology was so advanced if it was 'A long time ago'. Kids.
