Hello all,
I've been lurking around on this forum for a while and now I wanted to post my own stuff.

This picture is about the battle of Yavin 4 described in the novel "Darksaber". The MonCal-Cruiser Galactic Voyager fights together with corellian Gunboats against several Victory-class Star Dastroyers and the SSD Knight Hammer (which is not on my picture...). It's just a pencil scetch missing the TIEs, X-Wings and Laserbolts and far away from the picture I had in my mind.

Your rendering of the ships is beautiful, Dark_Guardian--very nice perspective and proportion on them all! I especially like the Mon Cal cruiser--it's a very complex design, and you captured it well! The only suggestion I would make would be to add some dramatic shading on the vessels (as would be present near a star)--I think that would "flesh them out" a bit more. wink Beautiful!

Thanks for all the comments.

FalconFan: The shadows are a good idea. I've tried to put some color and shadowing in the pic when I had scanned it, but it didn't worked very well. I'm not so good with these painting-programs. When I've time, I'll make some shadow in "reality".

Yeah, the Cruiser was difficult, because there is only official picture showing the Galactic Voyager:

The picture shows the underside of the ship, but I drawed it from above, so I had to use my imagination.

HS29: I'm currently working on another picture, showing a republic fleet seen in Jedi Trial. I hape I can finish it soon, but there is still the real life...

Here is a new picture:
Anakin's assault fleet from Jedi Trial. While Jedi-General Halcyon fights against the Separatist's main fleet, Anakin tries to land on the planet with 10000 clonetroopers. His flagship is the Neelian, a Corellian Corvette.

Wow, your very good at drawing the ships and have them movie acurate in their detail. I also like how you keep the picture very simple.

When ever I draw a picture I'll reach a stage where I can stop and it will look good, like your drawing but sometimes I try to shade in some of the areas and I end up ruining the drawing.

I would say just to vary your values and apply some shading and you have it made. The accuracy of the ships is amazing. I think they might also benefit from some color. wink

I spent some time on my computer and did some work on "Arrival at Praestylin". Here is the result:
A new planet, a starfield and a sun. The ships are still uncolored, but I'm quite busy at the moment. Maybe later...
Meanwhile: Enjoy.

Ooo, very nice. That's really starting to come together, Dark_Guardian. Although, now that I look at it, you may not have to color the ships. In fact, that may be too much. Just adding shading may be enough to make it look finished.

Ah, I see you made some of the ships darker than others. Nice touch and interesting way to solve the problem, but I think it still needs to have some shading within the contours as well. That would really give the ships a nice sense of depth. happy

Here's something new:

"Imperial-Class Datafile"

This might be a little bit off-topic, but I think it's nice.

That's a really interesting design. I like the appearance of the schematics. And I really admire your detail in all of your vessels. Excellent work! happy

Well, the Star Destroyer was not that difficult. I used the shematics from the EGVV, I just had to replace the text and change the colors.
