EDITED and SPOILERS
It says 9 minutes... obviously he must have forgotten to put the zero after it, I mean come on 90 minutes right?
Wrong! It was short, sweet, and I was gripped every second of the film after the opening crawl. That was really fun to watch, the betrayal, the chase, the explosions - all lots of fun. And the ending was quite the twist!
Undoubtably some people are going to knock you for the costumes and props (paintball gear), and the fact your models and animation are less than pixar quality.
But those things are so fickle that the people who focus on that have probobly lost focus on what a good story is.
I was smiling and actually mouthed "awsome" at one point.
I loved it, it was what most films arn't - very entertaining.

Yah, I'm downloading. It's a bit slow, though.
Edit: I'm too tired to write a full review, but in one line: Your directing is great, but if the shots had been done by ILM or something this would rival Lucas's stuff, for the amount of excitement (but obviously not quality, which pulled me out of the experience.)

RE: THE ASSASSIN - OFFICIAL RELEASE
Thanks WhisperingDeath It took a long time to get all those action sequences down even close to the way I wanted them. The film took two years of my life working on it only when I had the time while working around a full time job & an active social life..
If you have time to write a full review later, I'd love to see it even the downsides which I know there are plenty I just used what I had to work with..
Looking forward to other reviews keep them coming.

I sort of liked how this crawl fades as it flew, but the fonts, wording and music editing did not impress me. This isn't school, guys, you don't need to double-space your lines.
That said, wow, hell of an opening shot. The CGI gets a little fake-looking here. For some reason I'm put in mind of a commercial for candy. But I can't fault the (virtual) cinematography. There's some gorgeous moves here. It's not particularly photo-realistic, but it looks cool, and when I need to choose between the two, that's the arrangement I prefer.
Hey, now we know what happened to Lord Rive from Duality, he's in this film! No, but seriously folks. I want to comment on the great-looking digital interior here. And of course the Dooku-esque shot of the Death Star plans.
I do wonder, though, how well I believe the idea of a computer virus in the GFFA. It just seems so, well, Earthly. I mean, I know that bad things happen out there, but a computer virus?
But, wow, holy crap, a flying Boba Fett doing cool stuff. It's great how your nitpicks can be put to ease by neat stuff. Flamethrowers, a nifty AOTC-inspired soundscape and even digital stunts.
But, really, there's no excuse for Imperial police to be wearing bicycle helmets.
There is definite potential among this crew. I genuinely enjoyed many of the shots, and that alone was enough to hold my interest throughout the show. That is significant. That means something.

I do have a Sorenson3 Version but the lowest file size I could get without loosing to much quality with all the fast paced camera moves is about 65MB...
If anybody wants it just PM me.. The Picture quality isn't any better then the On2 Version but if you have problems with On2 I'll give Sorenson3 only upon request because of Bandwidth issues...

Edit:
Thanks for the review Adam I love feedback.
I know.. yeah, the bicycle helmet is my biggest regret.

RE: THE ASSASSIN - OFFICIAL RELEASE
A realy nice film, obviously it had flaws as every film does.
But I feel that these flaws could easily be rectified. One thing about this fan film is that it is fast paced, now i'm not saying that thats not a good thing but combining it with quiet talking its not very easy to follow. One thing i realy liked was the fett flying, i'm not sure why but i though you captured the way he flies quiet well. Overall if/when you do it again i think you'll be able to recognise bad things straight away.

Well this film did have some flaws. The bicycle helmets was one and was so were a few edits being a little quick. And also I thought the opening crawl had too much complicated information for an opening crawl. But with that aside I thought it was a hell of a good ride and very exciting. I didn't mind some of the CG being sub-par because the way that it was handled was great. A very good action-packed show.

RE: THE ASSASSIN - OFFICIAL RELEASE
I really enjoyed it. Nice acting, the costumes were cool looking ways to use normal everyday items, and the fights were very nicely choreographed. While the effects weren't the greatest, technical wise, we have ever seen in a fanfilm, the choreography of the chases were awesome and worked really well. And even though there really wasn't a plot, I enjoyed every minute of it. Stuff to work on:
The opening crawl needs to be a tad better written. It sounds like something off of Real Ultimate Power. You might want to explain how the Assassin got his hands on a lightsaber, maybe in just one or two lines between him and Fett. Funnily enough, I felt that the fact that he was a droid didn't need explaining. Also, the audio quality on the dialogue needs a little fixing-not sure what was wrong but I couldn't understand some of it.
Other than that, nice film. The first one in a while to make me go "awesome!" (when he ejected from his ship onto a speeder)

The Good:
I watched your film and I was fully sucked in. I thought the film was rather well done with of course the MINOR hitches (which every film has). It was like Whisper said - Very entertaining. From beginning to end I was glued to my monitor.
The Bad:
The ONLY bad point that pulled me away from the film a little was the audio. It was in some parts rather horrid. Do not get me wrong it was still easy to watch and I still enjoyed it, But it sounded like all mono clips slapped into the footage. I would download a higher res DIVX version with AC3 sound. The film is good enough to have 5.1 surround
Even if you do not want to or do not have the time to at least throw in some sound panning when objects that emit sound cross the screen. Also do not try to drown out the music by making the sound fx even louder. Lower the BG music and then lower the sound FX a little and your set.
The Ugly:
Nothing was bad enough to fit here.
Well done. I hope to see a higher res version sometime
hehehe
