Perspective corrected opening crawls

So I was looking at the perspective corrected opening crawls at http://www.theforce.net/fanfilms/postproduction/crawl/opening.asp , and I thought, they're pretty old and low quality and there are only four of them... and I could put together new ones pretty easily... so I did, and here they are, in case anyone else might find them useful.

Hey,
I saw your Opening Crawls thread. Thanks for makin those they look awesome. I'm doing an opening crawl for the special editon of School Duel and it's sequel. I already made a STAR WARS graphic but would it be possible for you to send me the photshop file of one of those crawls? If you would be so kind I'd put in a credit for you.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain clearly, these are made up of screenshots from the films, taking the bottom row of pixels from every frame. There is no Photoshop file. They're just useful as reference for making your own.

How did you go about putting these together, exactly? You took the bottom row of pixels, you say... smart, but what did you do to build images from this?

One minor quibble: you corrected the slanting in from the sides of the letters, but they're still vertically foreshortened. You might want to consider stretching them vertically a bit to fully correct the perspective.

My bet is he captured the video, separated it into frames, and then stacked each bottom row of pixels to build the larger images. Just a guess.

Well, clearly something like that, but I'm going to guess he didn't hand-position several thousand images, and that he achieved this via some automated method. The way I'd figure it is to take the video into AE, keyframe it to move vertically as many pixels as there are frames, and then set some sort of ridiculous time echo or something similar. I'm curious as to how he went about it, though.

Ryan: I wrote a simple Python script to do it, it just loops through every image in an image sequence, takes that line from it, and pastes it into the new image at the corresponding place.
Dorkman: True, but I dunno how much to stretch them exactly, and there's not much point in just guessing because chances are it'll still be wrong, even if it looks a bit better.

I'm doing an opening crawl for my fan film project. I already made a STAR WARS-like graphic, and I even used the Serpentine font for my own purpose. Thank you!

I'm sure there's a way to calculate the angle based on how much it angles in from the sides of the frame.
Math people? Help us out.
