This one looks bad ass. An actual Fleet battle,or atleast that's what it looks like, and as Randy said Grand Admiral...I mean Captian Pellaeon has made his Clone War appearance.

Yet I can say that Commander in the Clone outfit isn't a Clone himself. Unless Jango turned a whole lot whiter.
Perhaps this is the beginning of the Clone and Academy troopers being put together.

I think you may be correct in that assumption DarthMane, unless the Republic has begun using different clone hosts.
Wow, Pellaeon was a captain for one hell of a long time, over 33 years!

Interesting that the bridge of the Republic Assault Ship is identical to that of an
Imperial
-class Star Destroyer. That
is
an Assault Ship?

RE: Republic 64 Cover up
The Repbulic officer outfit, is this the first time we've seen the Clone Wars era officer outfit? They've lost the Judicial blue and gone Imperial gray, but their rank plaque is on the collar rather than chest. Intriguing. At least they HAVE rank collars.
I thought Pellaeon was a young ensign during the Clone Wars, so I guess y'all are just joking?

No, we're not joking, go take a look. The color of the soldiers may just be because of the coloring job. There are some discrepancies in characters appearances, just look at Alpha between comics by different artists.

No, that was his first station. By the CloneWars he has been in service to the Republic for ten years. Plenty of time to achieve promotion.

RE: Republic 64 Cover up
Well, sure enough, it does call him Pellaeon. I suppose his lack of promotion was due to lack of wealth and connections, not being one of the prominent familis, etc. Veers likewise was kept back from promotion until he came to Vader's attention.
Also, I looked at the pic again. I was initially thrown off by why Pellaeon, if so young, had a white moustache, but I think it isn't white, just a light brown. Interesting:)
So, Clone Wars officers who are NOT clones or Jedi so far include:
Admiral Terrinald Screed
NAVY:
Captain Jan Dodonna
Commander Adar Tallon
Captain Gilad Pellaeon
ARMY:
General Solomahal
Rotsu and Geptun from SHatterpoint, a Major and a Captain respectively, IIRC.
I can't think of anymore.
I wonder if their are any non-clone fghter pilots. I wonder if Imperial TIE Pilots are clones, like stormtroopers?

RE: Republic 64 Cover up
That's correct, Pellaeon graduated from the Academy before the wars, which could *technically* qualify him, as a commissioned officer, for a
de facto
field command if the situation were warranted. Many captains in the Western navies of the real world retain their rank across a span of decades prior to flag promotion or retirement.

RE: Republic 64 Cover up
I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but the four page preview shows us Merson and the Merson Asteroids. This is not the first time we've seen the Merson Asteroid Field...the first time was in the flashback in the 24th issue of the Marvel series, where Obi-Wan, during this time period, fought off a bunch of pirate slavers while aboard a pleasure cruiser on his way to Alderaan.
