News about the "New Hyperspace":
Webstrips: Webstrips are currently on hiatus, hence its absence from the bullet point list. There are at least two original webstrips slated for later this year, but they are likely to be made available for everyone and not just Hyperspace members. The archive is currently available only to Hyperspace members, though later in the year, they may be made free.

Free webstrips? thinking

Could this be the first step towards print webstrips? Or...strips?

Interesting. Especially the stripping concept.

I'm guessing that the EU fans aren't really the big money-spenders in the land of Star Wars merchandise; it's the people who buy $3,000 Master Replica lightsabers and make their own custom stormtrooper armor.

So the EU stuff is going to be free, happy while the more gulible uber-collectors with oversized wallets pay money for a Hyperspace that essentually has no exclusive or unique content. Sounds fair.

And, by that token, EU fans make up a miniscule percentage of the Star Wars Fan populace.

Sad but probably true. EU is the future of Star Wars, not one more book on the making of Episode IV.

I just signed up for Hyperspace for the first time the other day. I have to say, I'm loving these webstrips. I've read Evasive Action and Rookies so far and I've been entertained, especially by EA. Actually, it makes me want to get my hands on those Clone Wars comics so I can see some background on our Jedi generals. Good stuff.
