Pelranius posted:The Chinese PLA also has a naval arm seperate from the PLAN. Mostly for transportation on China's many rivers and the like, along with some gunboats, IIRC. Put I always figured the GAR to be more equilivalent to the USMC, and the USMC has its own amphibious carriers.
