Once again, this quote serves us well as change is washing over the community here in the TPM Defense Force. We started out in the TPM forum many years ago as the TPM Defense Force, a thread started by DarthSeti5 and others. The thread was intended to be a shelter from the tumult of the basher/gusher wars that followed the release of TPM. It was designed to be a place where people who loved TPM and felt it was worth defending could come, socialize, organize and regroup. In the years since its inception, the TPM DF has remained a "sanctuary" thread of sorts where bashing is off-topic and people can discuss TPM and socialize in an environment of appreciation for Episode I. Over the years, Nord, Gay-LenKenobi, Zoe, myself and others helped DS5 with the TPM DF as it grew and became a fixture in the TPM forum. After several years, an effort to address certain issues brought about an administration decision to move all the Defense Force threads to the Role Playing Forum. The existing Gushers' Sanctuary was allowed to stay in TPM but the original TPM Defense Force thread was locked. Then suddenly both the Sanctuary and Defense Force threads were gone; victims of a purge by SnowBoards of very large old threads. We were forced to begin again. A new Gushers' Sanctuary thread was opened and the second version of the TPM DF continued to exist in RPF.
After a time, continued discussion of the Defense Force threads resulted in the decision to allow them to move to the Star Wars Community forum where they could exist alongside the various fan club threads. The TPM moderating team of the time was able to get the administration to allow the TPM DF to return to the TPM forum. The decision was made to simply rename the existing Gushers' Sanctuary into the TPM Defense Force. Since then, the DF has continued to grow and flourish.
Now due to a decision by the TPM forum moderators, the TPM Defense Force has been moved to the Star Wars Community forum where it will exist alongside all the other Defense Force and fan club threads. It is our hope that the TPM Defense Force will continue to grow and flourish. So that's a bit of history...

- Obey the TOS at all times.
- Discuss the films, not the fans. We will ban violators of this one, oh yes!
- No spoilers!!!! Sorry... Episode III discussion belongs in the Episode III forums.
- People who have issue with the PT are welcome, but bashing is not allowed. We have the Bashers' Sanctuary here in SWC, I’d encourage you to visit there if you wish to bash. Here in the DF, as long as people are obeying the TOS, they have the right to criticize or praise TPM in this thread so long as they do so respectfully. People on both sides of the fence are asked not criticize opinions or peoples' right to post in this thread. It is a "Sanctuary" thread, so please respect that.
- Yes, you can talk about non-SW stuff occasionally, but keep the conversations about movies, TV and other media. Real life issues are for YJCC or the Senate and complaints about the JC go to PMs or Comms.
- You have to read what Strilo posts, and respond favorably to it. Offenders of this rule will be subject to bannings after three strikes. Reading Stryphe’s posts are optional.
Strilo edit: I think the time has now come to retire the Defense Forces. They have both been completely dead for a year or more. I personally feel that they are no longer needed. Running them has become a chore and thus I think without the need and without the culture they once had, it's time to let them go.

Stryphe, sweetie....oh, now, I wouldn't worry about it.  Consider, if you will, the fact that anyone, any old person, can deign to be negative about something....that's the easy way out, one might say. But to be positive, and to foster that same positivity, that is just *so* much more worthwhile and satisfying, wholly fulfilling....and what's more....it also genuinely unites - and in a *very* lasting way as well. This is certainly what I have found.... Like I said, then....anyone, really, can be negative....that seems to take very little effort or forethought at all. But to be genuinely *positive*, upbeat and praising....that automatically puts *us* right ahead of the game. Not to worry.
