	Oh the Cave. I almost felt like Anakin... J/K. Well done Pasha! This is a lesson that Anakin should have heeded. If he had, when Palpatine lifted the shadow of the Sith, Anakin would have been prepared for this new reality and would have acted accordingly. Instead, it threw him. His old wants and desires of total control (indead, to keep people from dying) remained and, in Palpatine, saw a vehicle in which to grow. The moment Palpatine revealed the truth, Anakin was enlightened. Yet he did nothing. At his moment of truth, he choose to remain in the shadow. Pash, this was an excellent adaptation to the story of the Jedi. Here's my own personal cave story. In Cincinnati, there was a show called the Uncle Al Show. And kids around the age of 4 went on the show. Now, probably every kid in Cincinnati watched the show up to the age of 4. On the show, it appeared that the kids flew, road amusement park rides, and otherwise did a variety of amazing things. Well, in July of my fourth year, I went on the show. On the show, I learned that kids really didn't fly, the set was fake, and that what I thought would be the biggest event of my life up to that point, was in reality a fraud. In fact, at the age of 4, I told Uncle Al as much and I never watched the show again. My awareness changed and I choice never to go back into the cave or at least that cave. But have you noticed that as we get older, those "truths" are harder to let go. We watched Luke face this in Empire and Jedi. We watch Vader broaden Luke's awareness as to the identity of his Father. Luke tries to deny this new awareness but cannot. However, Luke grows from the experience. His mission is no longer revenge agaist Vader but is now one of salvation. Nothing prepared Luke for this moment. He had been essentually lied to his entire life. His father was a spice frieghter pilot, then the best Star-Pilot in the Galaxy and a Jedi Knight, and then a monster who wreaked havoc and destruction on the galaxy. But in the face of all those different layers of reality, Luke made the best of his awareness. 	You know, a humorous thought struck me. The danger of teaching the cave allegory to someone Anakin's age is the risk that the young man's mind is fixed on another cave entirely.... 	Great Pash....!!! I was bombarded with literary references and must re-learn/re-read. You challenged my memory and it was like deja vu? I understood the essence but must re-discover the source.
