	Title: The Dating Game Genre: Romance, slight humor? Maybe? AU Characters: Obi Wan, Sabe, Anakin, Padme Summary: Peace reigns throughout the galaxy. No worries of Sith or Trade Federation. Anakin is 20 and married to Padme (25) and Anakin is still Obi Wan’s apprentice. Anakin and Padme’s marriage is a secret. Because of the overwhelming peace throughout the galaxy, Anakin and Obi Wan are given an extended leave. Padme invites them both out to the lake country to spend their vacation. While there Anakin and Padme struggle to find time alone, as Obi Wan is always around, so they must think of a way to preoccupy his time. Notes: I know similar stories have been written in similar settings, but I’m just going to try my hand at a different type of story, other than it always revolving around A/P. Don’t expect these chapters to be nearly as long as my other stories are. Also don’t expect this one to be updated as often. Chapter 1 Anakin and Obi Wan sat side by side each other on a public transport heading to Naboo. “It was awfully nice of Padme to invite us both to the Lake Country to spend our vacation.” Obi Wan chimed in after an awkward silence between the two. Anakin nodded in agreement, not saying much. “What’s wrong, my young Padawan? Nervous about seeing Padme again?” Obi Wan teased. “I guess you could say that.” Anakin spoke as he lowered his head. Obi Wan lightly nodded his head, and tried to read Anakin’s demeanor. “Be mindful of your thoughts Anakin! I know you care a great deal for the Senator, perhaps too much. That’s the only reason I agreed to come on this trip.” “You don’t trust me?” Anakin said, shooting a glare at Obi Wan. Obi Wan shot a knowing glare at him. “Should I?” Obi Wan asked, half serious. Anakin laughed under his breath. “Of course, Master.” “Well, I do trust you with my life, but around the allure of Senator Amidala, no Anakin, I do not trust you.” Obi Wan admitted. “Then why even let me come to Naboo?” Anakin asked. “Because I like to watch you sweat.” Obi Wan said with a chuckle. “Actually it will be a good test for you, young one. The only way you will ever get over this….. crush of yours, is to face it, and drowned it from your thoughts. You did not forget about her after not seeing her for nearly ten years.” “Seems like a lesson Qui Gon would have administered.” Anakin said laughing. “Well, remember I was his padawan, some of his personality did rub off on me, and hopefully one day mine will rub off on you.” Oh God, I hope not. Anakin thought to himself. I heard that. Obi Wan sent a message back to him through the Force. “If you don’t trust me, then you should trust Padme, she would never have anything to do with me!” Anakin tried to convince his Master, but he wasn’t going to fall prey to that. “Please Anakin! I’m not that experienced with women….At least when it comes to matters of crushes and love, but I see the way she looks at you, and you know how I feel about Politicians anyway.” Obi Wan retorted, folding his arms, and turning back straight ahead, ending this argument. Anakin smiled to himself, as Obi Wan mentioned the way Padme looked at him. His heart filled with pride that such a beautiful creature could care for him so. ~~ The transport arrived at Naboo after many long hours. Obi Wan yawned, and stretched as the two Jedi grabbed their things and exited the large shuttle. “Padme said they would have a speeder waiting for us when we arrived.” Anakin said, looking around for said speeder. Obi Wan looked into the distance, trying to squint the sun out of his eyes. “Ah, there it is!” He pointed and they threw their things in the back. “I’ll drive! I don’t feel like dying on the way to our vacation.” Obi Wan said with a smirk. Kenobi jumped in the driver’s seat, as Anakin reluctantly rode shotgun. He knew he could make it to Padme’s in record time, but with Obi Wan driving, it would be that much longer until he could see his beloved. ~~ Padme looked out the window of her bedroom impatiently. She paced back and forth, awaiting the arrival of the two Jedi. “Please relax, Milady, they will be here shortly.” Sabe said, breaking Padme’s trance. “I’m sorry Sabe, I just want to…” Padme stopped herself. “See Anakin?” Sabe teased her. Padme unwillingly nodded to her. “So, what of it?” Padme shot back, in a playful tone. “I know you want to see Master Kenobi again. After all, you two were quite chummy when we were stranded on Tatoonie. “Please, Padme! Master Kenobi strictly follows the Code from what I can see. Unlike your boy toy.” Sabe shot back, equally as playful. “That is your only excuse?” Padme winked at her friend, and Sabe blushed. Padme then saw the two Jedi, now traveling by boat. Obi Wan had let the boat worker relax, as did Obi Wan. Padme saw Anakin was the one paddling the boat to the Lake Retreat, and he didn’t look too pleased at all about it. Obi Wan laid back in the boat, his hands behind his head, relaxing. 	I love it already! Seeing Anakin frustrated like that, just makes me chuckle and think "you poor soul". But knowing the Chosen One, he'll probably have some type of 'revenge' planned for his master. I can't help but wonder if Sabe somehow knows that A&P are a couple. It's obvious that she knows the two have eyes for eachother, but I wonder if she thinks they're a couple? Not necessarily married, but a couple nonetheless. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, won't we. 	AP4EVER - Sabe knows they are a couple, not sure yet if she knows they are married. I wouldn't call it revenge Anakin has enstore, more like, showing Obi Wan the path. AngelQueen I hope I can keep it up, I've written 4 chapters today, already. This was the first, so I'm sitting on three more chapters right now. I really want the humor to remain, but not get in the way of the romance. I don't think it will. I think all four chapters i have written are pretty good, can't wait to share them with you all. Senator_Lorena - There will definately be more, thanks for reading. JediMasterRev - Well if I keep getting replies like this, I might treat everyone to Chapter 2 tonight, and Chapter 3 early in the morning tommorrow. I have the next 3 chapters written, as I couldn't stop writing this story. I don't think this story will be more than 15 or 20 chapters but it should be alot of fun while it lasts. 	The response as been overwhelming I just posted this and already alot of replies, ya'll deserve another chapter. Chapter 2 Greetings Padme and Sabe walked out to greet the Jedi at the dock. Anakin tied the boat up, and grabbed his bags, and stepped onto the dock. Obi Wan soon followed suite, as he took in the relaxation for a few more seconds. “Master Jedi’s, I’m so happy to see you have arrived.” Padme said, trying to be professional. She shared a quick smile with Anakin while Obi Wan wasn’t looking. “Milady.” Anakin simply said, as Obi Wan stood up grabbing his luggage. “Senator Amidala!” Obi Wan bowed, as he almost dropped some of his belongings. Sabe giggled at him slightly then stopped herself when she realized she was laughing out loud. “You both remember Sabe? Don’t you?” Padme said. Obi Wan set his bags down on the dock, and smiled at Sabe. “How could I forget, your faithful decoy!” Obi Wan teased. “Hello Master Kenobi, Master Skywalker.” Sabe greeted them both, but her eyes never left Obi Wan. “Oh, that’s okay, you can call him Anakin, he hasn’t yet received the honor of being called Master yet.” Obi Wan said, smiling over at Anakin, who sighed at Obi Wan’s unusual humor tirade he seemed to be on today. “And you have?” Anakin said pointing out that Obi Wan was only a Knight, not actually a Master yet. “Please, let us show you to your quarters.” Padme interjected. Anakin walked side by side with Padme, as Sabe tried to help Obi Wan with his bags. “That’s quite alright; I don’t want to trouble anyone, I’m just here to keep an eye on Anakin.” Obi Wan told her. “It’s really no trouble, Master Kenobi.” Sabe said. She reached down, and there heads collided. They both started laughing, as they rubbed their heads. “I’m sorry, Milady.” Obi Wan couldn’t help but laugh some more, at their foolishness. “It’s okay, it was my fault.” Sabe said cautiously, but laughing still, rubbing her own noggin. “And you can call me Obi Wan; I’m not a Jedi Knight when I’m on vacation.” He said, as he clumsily held his baggage in his arms. “Very well, Obi Wan. Can I escort you to your quarters now? I believe Anakin and Padme have left us behind.” Sabe pointed out. “What else is new?” Obi Wan said, looking into the distance as Anakin and Padme laughed together in route to the retreat house. “That would be delightful.” Obi Wan said, turning his attention back to Sabe. Sabe led Obi Wan into the house, and showed him his room. “Wow, this is much more pleasant than the Jedi Temple.” Obi Wan marveled. “Of course it is Master.” Anakin said from across the hall, standing in the doorway of his own room. “Ah, Anakin!” Obi Wan said, throwing his things to the floor. “I thought you would be staying in the Master bedroom!” Obi Wan teased, as he shot a wink to Sabe. Sabe’s eyes widened, she wasn’t sure if Obi Wan was joking or not. Anakin shot him a cold stare. “Master, you know that bedroom is Padme’s.” Anakin obviously didn’t know it was a joke either. “My point exactly.” Obi Wan retorted. Obi Wan saw the beautiful blue water leading to a small island outside of the window. “Ah, I think I’ve found my first activity.” Obi Wan said, brushing his beard with his fingers. “The Island?” Sabe questioned. Obi Wan nodded. “Yes, that crystal clear water is exquisite, a nice swim to that Island would be a perfect way to relax.” “Then, hop to it Master.” Anakin said, wanting to get rid of Obi Wan as soon as possible. Obi Wan sensed this of course and smiled. “Maybe later. Don’t want to swim on an empty stomach.” Obi Wan said, shooting Anakin a good-natured stare. “Lunch will be ready shortly, Obi Wan.” Sabe jumped back into the conversation. “Will you be joining us, Sabe?” Obi Wan asked innocently. That gave Anakin an idea, but he had to talk to Padme first. “Oh, I couldn’t.” Sabe said. Obi Wan nodded, and turned to look at his room. “Oh, why not Sabe?” Anakin inquired. “It wouldn’t be proper, to eat with Milady and her guests.” Sabe looked to Anakin. Anakin could see in her eyes she wanted to, she just needed an extra push. He eyed around the corner and there was his beloved Padme. “Padme, I think Sabe should join us for lunch today!” Anakin said. Padme smiled at the idea. “I think that’s a great idea.” Padme said, looking to her best friend. “Oh I couldn’t, Milady.” “Nonsense!” Padme said with a stern voice. “It will just be the four of us, it will be fun!” Obi Wan still was looking the other way from the conversation taking place. Although he took in every word of it, and knew exactly what was going on. He played with his beard, and smiled to himself. Fun yes…. But fun for who? 	Yes! Thank you for the extra chapter! I think it's funny seeing Obi-Wan so laid back...it's almost scary. I'm more used to him being in his usual serious, no-nonsense , almost work-aholic mood...In other words, the type of person that needs a vacation BADLY. And now it appears that Anakin has a plan.
