I wish I had tickets to that show in Boston, but I have no ride their! I could have my license by then, but the RMV could schedule for the end of May. sad

Anyway, two of my friends are going to the show, I'll ask them how it was.

As for me, I'll just sit here, and listen to Minority.

Well, I think that that statement is up to opinion. And it makes for a great discussion too. Do you think Green Day is still punk?

I went to a couple of concerts a few years ago. I used to enjoy their music, it was the kind of music I listened to while driving to the seaside in the summer.

They're ok. Not bad, but not great at all.
And please don't call them "punk". They're plain pop.
I can't believe they were allowed (or someone asked them) to cover the Ramones at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame....

Oh, come on. I'm as big a Ramones fan as the next person, and I enjoyed the cover. Heck, even a couple of said Ramones were rocking out during the performance.

Green Day & Saves the Day, eh? Not a bad lineup. happy

They're pretty cool. I'm going to see them in May. Blink 182, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World. That looks like a great line up.

Yes they are pop, in the broad sense of the word, just as early beatles were pop. (later is Acid Rock). Nothing wrong with being pop.

There's a difference between pop & Bubblegum pop.

Still, even if Green Day are not the same thing as the Backstreet Boys, I have to say most of the people I saw at the 2 concerts I've been to looked like they were coming out of a BB concert....sad, sad, sad.....

And, for the record, I, too, consider Green Day a pop band. As someone (GAP?) said, nothing wrong with that.
