My first fanfiction. Take it easy when reviewing(please, review!)... not. Be honest. I want to improve. Death treaths to PM only.
Many thanks to my beta Dancing Jansons, who had a lot of work to correct close to a hundred errors in 40kb of text.
Post TLC AU. Some months afterwards. Could be after your favorite after TLC AU, but Luke and Mara are only starting to get confortable and admiting to themselves their 'chemistry'.
A/N: OOCism, mainly Mara. Sugary. People with low mush resistance abstain. You were warned.

LITTLE WING
"...or the YT2000. It's beautiful, manouverable, fast. Someday-"
"So, you really like flying..."
"I've told you already, I can fly anything!"
"But,... do you enjoy it? Or is it just another tool, something usef-"
"Well, I've answered you already. I wouldn't have learned to 'fly anything' if I didn't enjoy it."
"Really? Wasn't it part of the requirements for, you know..."
"Not really. Basic piloting was required, but I could almost always take a ride to wherever my mission objectives were. It was usually preferable to travel on nondescrypt passenger charters, in fact."
"Wow... so... you really *do* like flying... " he grinned at her impatience.
Mara rolled her eyes. "What have you got going on in that farmboy head of yours now?"
Luke took one of her hands in his and asked in a mock earnest tone, "Where were you all of my life?"
Mara looked upwards, feigning a memory scan. "Mmm, let's see... do you want all the gory details?"
"I think I'll pass, thank you." He got up, releasing her hand. She stayed sitting on the grass, sipping from her energy drink. He couldn't stop smiling. 'I'm going to enjoy this... and so will she, and isn't that the whole point? I know I can do this!'
Mara looked up from the ground at him, arching an eyebrow and smiling slightly, just the minute up-curving at the corner of her lips. She took the towel that was lying on the ground at her side and wiped at her brow, mopping the sweat that had formed there. She didn't say a thing, just waited for him to speak, as she knew he would.
Luke grinned more and looked up at the skies of Rylot. Marine, deep blue, as the slow afternoon approached, clear, a few clouds to the south. Perfect. Mara was here for a meeting with the Smugglers Alliance. He'd invited himself along under the pretext of finding some rumored Jedi memorabilia located on the ruins of the smallest continent. When she wasn't in the meetings, they'd train, spar and banter. Banter a lot. He knew she hadn't bought it. He didn't care. He remembered, like a faint memory from a past life now, the depression he had been feeling around the time Ben bid his farewell, almost a year ago. The responsibility of rebuilding the Jedi order had felt like the weight of the galaxy on his shoulders. 'I can't believe now how depressed I was getting. That wasn't me... It's not how I am, not *who* I am... but I believed that person was me... before she came'.
But today she'd come back from the reunions in a foul mood. She didn't want to talk or go for a walk, as they'd been doing for the last couple of days. Something about a Trandoshan smuggler. He'd finally convinced her to go to the secluded park where they'd been sparring to work her frustation off. It had worked to an extent. He'd won most of the matches; usually things would be much harder for him, and he could feel her still slightly miffed that he'd won so easily. Now, as she sat on the ground, relaxed, he'd felt like doing something he'd always pondered since starting his training in the Force. It was reckless, immature, insane. But he knew he could do it. And he was sure it wasn't of the dark side.
He grinned back down at her. She'd lain back down on the grass, using the folded towel as pillow. He bit his lip. Her braided hair was laying on the left side of her body, following the swell of her breast. He felt a bittersweet tightening of his heart as he watched her green eyes looking up at the faint stars that were starting to come out, even though there was still daylight luminosity. The clarity gave her eyes a liquid quality, and he could see in their depths the purity that had somehow managed to escape Palpatine's indoctrination. She still had a long way to go, and many phantoms to dispel. But her path was clear. She was a child of the light. He only hoped she'd let him walk beside her.
"Would you like to fly?" he asked softly, a smile on his face. He knew she would hear him.
She looked at him and sat up. "How?" He could feel a twinge of excitement from her sense. He wondered if she thought about the same things as he did when looking at the stars.
He bent down, grabbed her left hand from where it was resting on a knee and motioned her to stand up. He took her other hand and kept hold of both. He looked into her eyes, so close, a pleasure he always took when talking to her. She'd always talk looking directly to him, no oblique, disinterested gazes from her, a blessing to be drunk and tasted, almost a drug in her addictiveness. "Well, I've been practicing lately, and I reckon I can lift very heavy stuff easily with the Force. Last week I lifted my X-wing."
Her eyes widened. "You've *got* to be kidding!" Her excitement was clear now. She already knew what he had in mind.
"Yeah... I'd done it before, but not as easily. I would lift it a few meters, move it around for one minute or two and put it back down. I would always be exausted by the end. But I've been gaining a new understanding of the Force lately... a new clarity." He squeezed her hands, smilling at her, his own excitement building. He'd never felt so brazen and she'd rarely ever been this accessible before. "I can lift and maneuver it easily now. Not as if it were made of foam. But I can lift it 10 meters or so in the air, shift its positioning and move it around a good distance away from me. For several minutes."
Mara grinned. She freed her hands and held his in a more comfortable arrangement between them. "So, what are you getting at? Have you lifted yourself already?"
"Well, that's the catch. I couldn't lift myself more than a few centimeters off the ground. It seems the Force wants to tell our place in the order of things, unless we use some sort of propulsion, and natural flying is for those beings blessed with wings." He paused, gauging her understanding, and continued. "However, I feel, I *know*, that if I need to lift another living being, I can easily do it. I could already lift and manouver the equivalent of a droid's weight before, but now I have the confidence to do it with a living being. It would come in handy in certain situations."
"I can imagine..." she smirked at him "and you think there's no problem to use this to kid around? Wouldn't the big bad Force find this 'cheating' ?"
He smiled sheepishly. "Well, I think there's no harm if done with moderation... it's not like we are doing this to rob fruit from a neighbor's tree."
Mara's eyes were shining with excitement. Then she frowned slightly in thought. "But it can't be much fun if you control the flight. It would be like an invisible carousel ride..."
Luke was now at the same level of juvenile excitement as Mara. "I've thought of that already. I will just focus on the lift. You control speed and bearing. You get it? It would be as if I were the main engine and repulsorlift. You'll control the throttle and maneuvering reps and thrusters. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it quickly enough. I think this will allow much more freedom and control than a jetpack or repulsor harness."
Luke laughed when Mara did two small jumps, still holding his hands. She didn't seem the least bit fazed by his outburst or her own behavior. He was waiting for her answer. Did she trust him to hold her airborne? "What do you say?"
Mara squeezed his hands and gazed for a few seconds, deep and penetrating, in his eyes. Her smile and voice were soft. "What are you waiting for?"
Luke closed his eyes. Her trust in him swept over like a tidal wave of awareness. Tilting his head back, taking a deep breath. He let it wash his soul. Warmth. Pure warmth. The Force flew around them. Currents flowed from her to him, from him to her. The Force blessed them. Peace. Knowledge. Trust. Tenderness. Love. Free from the rules of limited souls, the true nature of the Force blessed them with clarity. The Force surrounded the universe, touched everything. Suns. Planets. The ether and the light between them. Water. Earth. Fire. Rocks. Trees. Droids. Beings. Sentients. The Force touched their matter, their flesh. The Force blessed their spirits... and their feelings.
Luke opened his eyes. Mara was still smiling; her eyes were closed. Tears ran down her face. Only then did he feel his own.
He cleaned his face on his sleeve and reached for her. She opened her eyes as he made contact with her soft skin. She wasn't fleeing or putting up her barriers, and he knew she wouldn't ever again. But he didn't know what to say. And, it seemed, neither did she.
Then she reached for her braid and started fixing it with an elastic band to her head. "I don't want it slapping on my face", she explained. She reached for her lightsaber and extended it to him. "Hold on for a little while will you? With the moves I'm going to pull it could hurt my thigh."
Luke smiled at her cockiness. They both needed to absorb what had just happened. They would talk later. He took her lightsaber and hung it beside his, as he watched her tighten the waist band of her baggy camouflage exercise pants.
"I'm ready, " she said.
Luke just looked at her. He didn't need to say anything. They were already linked.
They maintained eye contact as she was lifted a few centimeters from the ground. She wobbled a little and grabbed both his arms to steady herself.
"Ok, what do I do now?"
"You can let go, I'll steady you. I thought you trusted me?" he said, mock hurt.
She rolled her eyes, smiling, and let go of his arms. "Ok, farmboy, tell me how to do it."
"All right. It's actually very simple. You were unstable because I was only focusing on 'float', not 'control'. You know when you spin a rock on many different axes? You're flowing both focuses on it's surface. Now I'll release control to you again, and you can rise a bit more off the ground."
He slowly released his focus to her, guiding her thought processes without pressing any deeper than necessary on her mind, and watched as she wobbled a little, then steadied herself. She rose to about one meter in the air. "Great, just imagine a forward impulse. This would be your 'throttle'". He felt her shift in concentration as she began to slowly slide forward, feet together, still floating upright wobbling slightly sometimes. She held her arms to her sides, something she really shouldn't need to do, but he surmised they were her 'security repulsors' and in a few moments she wouldn't feel the need for them. He kept passing this and other pointers on to her through their bond.
She floated to about 10 meters in front of him. Then she twisted 180 degrees, already working on 'steering', and came back, passing him and going another 10 meters in the other direction. This time, instead of turning around, she came backwards, looking over her shoulder at him, grinning. Holding her afloat came at almost no effort at all. It was like a reflex at a corner of his brain and he didn't feel any strain. It had never been this easy with anything else, even small pebbles. Fantastic.
"How does it feel?"
"Great! I can feel you... holding me. At first I had some reflex of lifting myself, but now I'm completely concentrating on the maneuvers."
"All right! Now, that was some pretty radical stuff you pulled out there, but I thought you'd gain a little more speed and height before attempting something so risky." He grinned at her knowing what her reaction would be.
She almost snorted, shaking her head, then smiled defiantly chin up, "I'll show you 'rad', farmboy. Just need to get the hang of 'steering' now."
She began to slowly transition to a horizontal position right in front of him. She began wobbling again and Luke immediately understood what the problem was. Mara was a trained athlete, an accomplished martial artist and a graceful, acrobatic gymnast, as he'd witnessed many times during their lightsaber matches, and her body was instinctively trying to right itself because of her finely honed reflexes. The same problem that Leia used to have with lightsabers because of her self-defense courses. Mara had no problems with lightsabers, but this new "activity" was obviously new enough to confuse her.
He sent her his thoughts and added: 'Let go Mara. Trust the Force. You don't need to unlearn what you've learned, but you can detach yourself easily enough. Just feel and it will happen.'
He felt the shift of her focus and her steadying, but not completely. She lowered her arms, not needing the security crutches anymore, and just floated there, practicing the shift from vertical to horizontal and back. When she got the hang of it she flipped forward, then backward and twisted around her axis in a roll maneuver. But there was still something unsteady in her balance. He caught on to her confusion and understood her problem. He came closer and took her left hand.
"Keep it simple at the beginning. Think atmospheric control surfaces. Imagine those-" He twisted her hand along the axis of her arm and in a swivelling motion, "-those would be your elevons. Imagine twisting them at the same angle for pitch and countering one another for rolling. You don't need rudders, you never use them anyway."
Mara rolled to her right, facing Luke. She tried to look angry but mirth was evident in her eyes, "Is your pre-flight finished, Commander Skywalker? Am I ready for take-off?"
"Just a few more pointers," he began, holding her by her arms and bringing her down to eye level. "when you get used to it add more 'controls' as you see fit. Directional repulsors, wingtip exaust nozzles...you know this stuff don't you? Then, just let it all go. Just fly. Okay?" He let go and she shifted to an angled position.
"Okay," she said softly. She was not afraid. "give me a little push?" Maybe a little.
Luke came closer to her. Placing his hands on the curve of her bare waist he decided this wasn't the best place... so he slid his hands down her body searching for the best purchase. Her hips, thighs then the calfs then her bare feet. She'd alway preferred to fight like this, when they were on tatami or soft grass. Yes, that would do. His palm was bigger than her sole. Excellent purchase and the best traction for a strong push. He resisted the urge to tickle her. "Ready-"
"Get used to the idea of having 2 artificial hands... make that 2 artificial arms."
"-setgo!"

Artoo rolled up to him and bleeped a question.
"No Artoo, there's still light enough up there." One simple barrel roll followed by a loop ending on a Corellian reverse spin. A little drift at the exit. 'Sloppy and bo-ring'.
'How about this, farmboy?'
Another binary inquiry. "She knows what she's doing - " At that moment she made the spine breaking equivalent of an inertial-counter-flutter. A suposedly non-atmospheric maneuver. It finished looking like one of those crazy hoverboard stunts he'd tried to do from the underground walls of the homestead as a kid - usually resulting on a bruised and sand covered Luke dragging his broken board to the tool shed. "- I think". 'Are you still in one piece up there?'
'Watch me.'
Right. As if he could take his eyes off her. It was a pity she was using those baggy pants, but at least her upper body was covered only with a white half tank top. She started gaining height and he could feel her focusing for a serious bone-breaking sequence.
He couldn't distinguish some of the moves and realized that she was more dancing than maneuvering. Her body bent, curved and stretched in some kind of aerial ballet. She was poetry in motion and he caught himself open-mouthed, his throat dry. She finished, however, with a picture perfect Koiogran a few meters off the ground.
'Learn something, flyboy?'
He shut his eyes and opened them again, shaking his head, trying to absorb everything and commit it all to memory. Then he recovered his wits and sent back 'You have such potential. If you could use rudders sometimes it would actualy be fun shooting your ass on the sims.'
'Shut-up.'
Luke laughed as she began doing the back-stroke. She was relaxing after showing-off for the last 15 minutes. Her force sense shined on his soul and he could only smile like a fool from the ground. Artoo beeped a statement.
"Yeah, she gets a little bit childish sometimes... but this is a new record."
Artoo beeped an amused age estimate to his master.
"Hmmm..." She began walking upside down. "Nah, try 14." Her braid came loose adding to the image. "Make that 12." Luke said with a laugh. Then he gazed down with a frown at the little droid. What was Artoo doing there anyway? Shouldn't he be recharging at the hotel?
Before he could think more about the droid's whereabouts a panthac landed on his back like a freight mover. At least that was the sensation he got as he was tumbling head over hills with the feral beast still clinging to him. He came to a halt face down with a dead weight sprawled across his back. Spitting the grass from his mouth he tried to turn around. "What in the stars did you think you were doing?!" he said with a laugh. He seemed to be doing that a lot lately.
Mara quickly righted herself, turned him around and pinned his arms above his head, stradling him. She looked at him, a predatory gleam in her eyes, a mischievous grin coloring her face. Her now-disarrayed hair was full of grass blades. Her whole face had smudges of dirt on it. Gods, he wanted to kiss her right now.
"Oh, you know, I saw you so distracted down here, and I thought: stang, wonder if that's what a Nidlyn fox-hawk feels like when it sees prey."
Luke snorted and easily moved his arms from her hold, brushing the grass blades from her hair and cleaning the worst smudges a little bit. Crossing his fingers and using his interlaced hands as a pillow below his head, he felt her annoyance at being so easily handled and chuckled. When she'd go through Yoda grade torture-exercises he'd think about letting her handle him. "So, how was it?"
"What do you think?" She shifted her hands to his shoulders.
"Well, I'm asking you." he watched as a pink tip wetted her lips.
"You could feel it through our bond," she said as she lightly ran her nails over his skin.
"I want to listen from your mouth."
She leaned down. Her hands ran down his body, over his tank-top. "It was... enlightening." After a pause where she ran her hands back to his bare shoulders she added, "Thanks"
"Thanks? Is that all? I put you up there and get only a 'thanks'? I don't accept this, you'll have to do better."
"I guess you're deserving...all right...that was wonderful, thank you, Skywalker."
"Luke."
She leaned down. Her nails scratched his skin. Her lips whispered "thank you, 'Skywalker Luke'" Her eyes closed. Her lips parted. She leaned closer.
'Finally' Luke thought as his lips made contact with hers.
*****
Something was wrong. He shouldn't be feeling like something was wrong. He should be feeling like he was in heaven. Like he was kissing the most wonderful girl in the galaxy.
He opened his eyes. He closed them. 'No.'
He opened his eyes again. He closed them again. 'Don't.'
He twisted his mouth and spit out the fabric of his pillow. "Bleargh!"
He opened his eyes. He shot up in a sitting position. "NO!"
He punched the matress. "Sith!" He punched again "No!" and again and again and again... "Nonononononononononononononononono"
He looked at the ceiling "Damnit Force! Is this your idea of a joke? Did you have your fun now? FORCE! I'm going to the dark side now, you smelly sweat of a Hutt's armpit!"
He plopped back down and laughed. The Force had some sense of humor. "Jabba's armpits!" He should have known. No way Mara would behave like that. Had he no shame? A childish, teenage, hormone-laden dream.
Luke shot back up in a sitting position. When had been the last time he'd had a dream without knowing it was one? And... a vision within a dream? And... it had felt SO real! He grabbed his left shoulder hoping against any kind of logic to feel the raw skin. He could practically feel the sting of her nails. He put a hand to his mouth, starting to feel stupid. He could only shake his head at the injustice of it all. The Force wasn't fair. Why didn't it let him finish the dream? Why couldn't he be so bold like that in the real world?
Then he noticed that Artoo was beside the bed. He turned on the soft lamp at the bedside.
"10100011100011101010?"
Luke sighed "A dream Artoo, a very good dream."
"00110101000101010001."
"YOU woke me up?! Do you have any idea what you made me lose?"
"11001001100011100010!"
"Pathetic human glitches? You know, maybe a regular memory wipe would do your circuits good," Luke half-snarled, half-laughed at the droid.
Artoo blew a gasket. The droid let out a string of binary curses and shook on his legs. Finally, he extended out his mechanical arm and his soldering arc. He let out a low menacing raspberry.
Luke spluttered and quickly covered his groin with the pillow. "Why, you little..."
Artoo menacingly opened and closed his claw and sparked the solder a few times to get the message across. Another raspberry.
Luke jumped to his feet on the bed and laughed out loud at Artoo's antics. "Wanna play rough? Bring it on, bolt-bucket!" Artoo wouldn't really endanger his phisical integrity. But he still held the pillow in place. Just in case. Accidents happen.
At this moment the door slid open. Luke froze in his tracks. He turned his head in time to see Mara entering the room. With the light coming from the corridor he absentmindedly noticed that she was wearing a light green pj. Then it hit him. He was standing up on his bed, with a pillow between his legs and Artoo extending his mechanical apendages toward him.
Mara stopped just beyond the door, took this all in and covered her face with her hands, shaking her head. She seemed to take a deep sigh but Luke had the impression that she was trembling as well. Artoo wisely chose this respite to get out of there really fast and head for the small kitchen's droid alcove.
A tall Twi'lek opened the door oposite Luke's. He started to say something in Basic but never got to the end of the first word as Mara turned and let out a loud, rapid fire string of threats in Twi'leki. The man whimpered and retreated back closing his door.
Mara closed his room's door and turned around to face him. By this time he had taken the pillow away from his body. He hopped down from the bed and threw the pillow back to the bed behind him. Mara crossed her arms and looked at him with an unreadable expression. She didn't say a word.
"Euhahm-um-Artoo, you know, he..."
Mara put out a hand stopping his stuttering. She spoke in an eerily calm, cool voice, "I don't want to know about that droid. It wasn't him who woke me up shouting obscenities at 3 am. You've forgotten, supposedly controlled Jedi Knight, that I'm in the next room and the walls of this spelunker are not particularly thick or sound-proof."
Luke began to shift nervously. He was lucky she was standing by the door. It was too soon, after that realistic dream, for him to be so near her. Somehow, she managed to make that pj look devious. He was disoriented. Her presence was resonating strangely though the Force. His heartbeat began to pick up. He couldn't seem to control it. He needed time. "Sorry Mara, I, well, Artoo woke me up and... How can you enter in my room like that anyway?"
"You gave me your door's code. I heard you shouting something about the darkside. Then all your racket with your droid. He woke you up from what? A vision? A nightmare?" She didn't give him the chance to recover. She'd felt his turmoil.
"No, not a nightmare. Not a vision, no, not exactly. I mean yeah, kind of, you know, a vision." He cursed himself for his stuttering. He tried to control himself but felt naked under her scrutiny. He tried to put up his barriers but something was preventing him from achieving it.
"Ah... kind of a vision. And he could tell you were having 'kind of a vision' and woke you up?" She had a funny expression with a slight smirk. She was in full 'fluster farmboy' mode. Her arms crossed under her chest again. The soft cotton skimmed her form. Did she do that on purpose? How could a loose-fitting pj look like that anyway?
"I-It was a dream within a vision. No, no, a vision within a dream!" He shook his head, closing and opening his eyes. "I don't know why Artoo woke me up. He must have thought I was having a bad dream." He'd finally managed to clamp down his thoughts. But there was still something weird. He was completely confused. It was like when he fought his clone, but completely different at the same time. He still felt completely open to her. 'What the sith is going on!'
"Hmmm... so you *were* having a bad dream. About the dark side of the force I take it?" She walked closer to him, a concerned expression on her face.
"No, not bad." He was having trouble forming coherent thoughts and voicing them. His heartrate picked up one more notch. "It's just that Artoo interrupted me before I could... see the resolution of the vision. And... it was very important to see what it was all about. That's all there was to it, really." He felt his face warming up and thanked the Force, that sithly jackass, for the low light coming from the bedlamp. Maybe she wouldn't see.
"That's why you woke up shouting and were about to wrestle with your droid? Don't you think that would be a little rough on him?" She grinned, walking closer still. Then she frowned and extended one hand, touching his temple. "Are you okay? You're hot. Maybe you've got a cold?"
Luke managed not to jump out of his skin. Now that she was right in front of him he could feel that the mischievousness wasn't coming only from her pajamas, even though they seemed to have a life of their own. However, her contact completely liquified his brain so that he couldn't make much out of this. "Mmmara, I'm ok, really, it's just the heat, I won't have any more dreams tonight. Don't worry about me, you need to go to the last meeting this morning."
Mara was unconvinced. "Are you sure?" There was that mischievousness again.
"Yeah, pretty much."
She smirked, arching one eyebrow. "Okay then, Farmboy, sleep tight." She turned to the door. She made 2 steps toward it. Then she turned to the kitchen. She walked there, a grin on her face. She disapeared there for a few seconds. Artoo made a garbled, cut-out bleep; then she came back to stop directly in front of him. She took his hands and looked directly in his eyes. "You're just too much to resist teasing, farmboy."
Luke had completely short-circuited. "Mara?"
She took a deep breath. She was smiling sadly now. "The Smugglers Alliance is no more. They want to remain neutral and independent from any government and any formal obligation to each other. This morning's meeting will be only to finish some business with a few groups. Then I'm free."
Luke sobered a little. He was saddened that this project he'd actually pushed her into accepting had come to fail. Forgetting for a moment the intimacy of the moment he said, "Mara, I'm sorry. Your plans..."
Mara sighed and looked to the side. "Everyone involved knew from the start that it had only a tenuous chance of succeeding. I'm not sad for not having to deal with all of them on a regular schedule. Quite the opposite in fact." She turned back to him. Her expression was earnest, her sharp green eyes burning a path directly into his soul. "When I'm finished tomorrow I'm free to stay with you. I'd like to dedicate my time entirely to learn the ways of the Force. That is, if you'll take me as your student."
-stay with you- -learn the ways of the force- - your student- -stay with you- -stay with you- -stay with you-
"Luke?"
Luke shook his head for the Nth time that night. He stared shell-shocked at Mara. He knew he was looking like an idiot, grinning stupidly, but he couldn't care less. Had he heard her correctly. And, had she just called him 'Luke'?
"Yes and yes," she answered, grinning again. "I'm waiting your answer."
Luke held her arms. He thought he'd explode. His heart was like an E-web on his chest. "Mara..." 'get a hold of yourself, you big sap' he tried to recompose himself. Her grin broadened. "Of course Mara. You knew it already. I'm always pestering you..."
She smiled brilliantly, taking his hands back and giving two small jumps; pure juvenile excitment flowed from her. Luke's heart skipped a beat. His eyes widened. "Great!" The mercurial girl/woman quickly shifted back to a mischievious countenance. "By the way, do you think you could do that for real?"
Luke's brain melted. His heart almost gave out. "D-do what?" She couldn't... it couldn't be...
Mara let go of his hands and grabbed his shoulders. "I think you know what I'm talking about... Commander Skywalker," she said in a low voice, her face a few inches from his.
Luke gulped, but his heart didn't back down from his throat. His voice came out like a ragged moan. "You... you..."
Her nails ran down his skin. Her voice was a husky whisper. "What are you doing to me, Skywalker? I thought I said to keep out of my head... this includes keeping out of my dreams."
Luke finally registered that she'd been reading him all this time. He felt like he was falling from a great height. She knew everything now. She knew how he felt.
'Let go Luke. Just fly.'
And as if falling into the warm embrace of a womb, as if following the voice of the Force herself, he let go. And flew. And felt. Her. He slowly, reverently, enveloped her in his arms, pulling her closer. He felt like crying. He felt like exploding. He felt like laughing. He felt like flying.
"Mara..." He had to be sure. "This isn't about frolicking around, sparring, playing games and then leaving as if it were some amusement park. There has to be commitment," he whispered into her hair, above her ear.
"I know Luke. That's what I want. I want to do the right thing. I need to cleanse my spirit. Please, teach me how."
"Mara, your plans, your freedom..." he held her tightly, thanking the force, thanking the stars, still not letting himself believe completely.
"But I'm free, Farmboy. Don't you see? I'm doing what I want. Of my own free will. I want to become a Jedi Knight and serve the light, like you." She ran her hands down his face, lowering his head to hers.
"Yes Mara, you're a child of the light. You're free," he whispered, drowning in her warmth.
"Thank you," she breathed, and closed the distance.
Luke was in heaven. He was kissing the most wonderful girl in the galaxy.
'Finally.'
A doubt entered his mind.
But Mara pinched his butt before he could formulate the thought.
No, he didn't wake up.
He was dreaming. From a certain point of view.
Well, she's walking through the clouds,
With a circus mind that's running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That's all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.
When I'm sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It's alright, she says it's alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing.

Love this story!
The mush was great!
Luke was in heaven. He was kissing the most wonderful girl in the galaxy.
'Finally.'
A doubt entered his mind.
But Mara pinched his butt before he could formulate the thought.
No, he didn't wake up.
He was dreaming. From a certain point of view.
My favorite part!!

that was... beautiful..
///Luke opened his eyes. Mara was still smiling; her eyes were closed. Tears ran down her face. Only then did he feel his own. ///
Especially that part.
