	Title: The Lord of the Light Sabers Genre: Adventure, Crossover Characters: Qui-Gon, Anakin, Padme, Obi Wan, several others. Time Frame: The events of TPM really don't apply, but I imagine Anakin is like 18. Summary: Lord of the Rings only in the Star Wars Universe. Notes: This is just the prologue, depending on the response I get from this, will determine if there is more to come. Of course there could be ALOT to come, but only if there is a mild interest in this. Warning: Slight Plagiarism in Prologue. I do not own Lord of the Rings or Star Wars. Thank Tolkein, Lucas, and Peter Jackson. Prologue It began with the forging of the great light sabers. Three were given to the Jedi, protectors of the galaxy, wisest and fairest of all beings. Seven to the Mandalorians, great fighters who took glory in war. And nine, nine sabers were gifted to the race of the Sith on Korriban, who above all else, desire power. For within these sabers was bound the strength and will to govern the galaxy. But they were all of them deceived, for another saber was made. In the land of Mustafar, in the lavas of Mount Kismet, the Dark Lord Zanthos forged in secret a master saber, to control all others. And into this Saber, he poured his ruthlessness, his spite and his will to dominate the galaxy. "One Saber to rule them all." One by one, the free systems of the Galaxy fell to the power of the Saber. But there were some who resisted. A last partnership of Jedi and Mandalorians marched against the armies of Mustafar and on the slopes of Mount Kismet they fought for the freedom of the Galaxy. Vast armies of Jedi, Mandalorians and Sith assemble on the battlefield. Bly Cavin and Jacoo Salif regard their enemies as the Sith race snarl back, taunting them. Then the Sith attack the Alliance, rushing across the field that separates the two armies. Cavin gives the command to the Mandalorians blast men to engage. “Hold your positions! Fire your blasters!” Cavin yelled, holding his blue lightsaber high in the air. The Mandalorians raised their guns and released a slew of laser blasts at the incoming Sith, taking down the first line of Sith defense. As the wave of the Sith infantry reached the first line of the Jedi and Mandalorian troops, the Jedi swung their sabers up, slicing the Sith as they came, one after the other down the line. Soon the Jedi and Mandalorians were engaged in combat, taking down many of the Sith. Victory was near. But the power of the Saber could not be undone. Zanthos strode onto the battlefield. Cavin looked up in apprehension. The Dark Lord, towering over both Jedi and Mandalorians, brandishing the light saber, showing its full power, as the hilt glowed in his hand. In fear, some of the warriors backed off. Zanthos wielded his powerful Saber, hitting a group of warriors and sends them flying across the field in pieces. He repeats it with another fell swoop. Cavin, raising his saber to strike, attacks Zanthos, but Zanthos parries his blow and flings him against a boulder, crushing him to death. Horrified, his apprentice Jacoo Salif runs to his fallen Master. It was in this moment when all hope had faded, that Jacoo, apprentice to the leader of the Jedi Council, took up his Master’s lightsaber. Jacoo grasped the hilt of Saber but Zanthos quickly stomped his arm down. Zanthos, with the Saber of power in hand, reached down towards Jacoo. With a last desperate attempt, Jacoo let out a battle cry and struck Zanthos’ hand with his Saber, slicing the hand that bears the Saber. Zanthos let out a cry as the Saber is separated from him. He imploded, sending a shock wave throughout the battlefield, knocking the warring troops off their feet. His armor falls unto the ground, his body vaporized. Zanthos, the enemy of the free-peoples of the Galaxy was defeated. The Saber passed to Jacoo, who had this one chance to destroy evil forever. But the hearts of men, even Jedi, are easily corrupted. And the Saber of Power has a will of its own. It betrayed Jacoo to his death. And some things that should not have been forgotten were lost. History became legend, legend became myth and for three thousand years, the Saber passed out of all knowledge. Until, when chance came, it ensnared a new bearer. "My Lovelyyyy." Yoda hissed. The Saber came to the creature Yoda, who took it deep into the tunnels of Dagobah. And there, it consumed him. “It came to me, my own, my beloved, my own, my lovely!” Yoda hissed to himself. The Saber brought to Yoda unnatural long life. For eight hundred years it poisoned his mind. And in the gloom of Yoda’s hut, it waited. Darkness crept back into the vastness of the Galaxy. Rumor grew of a shadow in the Outer Rim, whispers of a nameless fear, and the Saber of Power perceived. Its time had now come. It abandoned Yoda. But something happened then the Saber did not intend. It was picked up by the most unlikely of creatures. A moisture farmer, exploring the planet. “What’s this?” He said. A man from Tatoonie. Cliegg Lars. “A lightsaber!” Lars expressed his joy. “Losssst! My lovely is lost!” Yoda shrieked. 	Lol! I loved this - I could almost hear Cate Blanchett speaking Galadriel's lines from the film (modified to fit SW specifications, of course! . 	I liked Lord of the Rings, but its not my favorite movie of all time. However I did read this, and its a great start. I see Zanthos is being the evil Sith Lord we all love to hate. I loved Yoda! Can't wait for more! :sighs: Another Darksideyesplease fic to read! 	not to worry jmsbndgrl, i'm working on chapter 11 of the dating game as we speak. so that one is coming to an end shortly, unfortunately, and trust me, everyone is going to love that chapter. don't expect Chapter 1 to this story for quite sometime, I'm just throwing it out there for now, to see what kinda feedback i get.
