Hey there, I'm in a bit of a dilema here, and was wondering if you fine FanFiccy peoples would be able to help me.
I am part of a Star Wars comedy fanfiction group (hence the thread title) called the Psychopathic Jedi. We started off in 2001 in the BAC forum of the official site, but since they banned RPing and the like there in Nov 2002, the group has deteriorated to the point where nobody is posting at all and fresh ideas are hard to come by.
Due to our 'traditions', our current story will end on 12th November 2005, and a new one will begin, with a new Commander leading the group (co-incidently it will be me that takes over as Commander).
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to breathe some life back into this?

Yeah, details would be good.
I parody everything I touch. Comedy is my speciality.

Well, I would have left more details, but I wasn't sure what I could post because I noticed that promoting your fics isn't recommended, lol.
Hmm, well, our original story, "Real Jedi Punks", has long been deleted from SWmb, but luckily I saved all of it and have it lovingly uploaded (in completely unedited form) to http://www.galacticbasic.net/hosted/Real_Jedi_Punks/HTML/
It was the most successful, due to the prime real estate we had on StarWars.com forums, but since then it's been on my own forums which don't attract nearly as many visitors as SW.com or TF.n
At the moment all the groups activities happen on my own site, GalacticBasic.net. But, as I mentioned before, getting new people is difficult, so I was seriously thinking of moving the story away to a larger forum. Like TFn, to be honest, but I dunno how well recieved something along the lines of our stories would be.

beeurd, unfortunately you are quite correct about advertising non TF.N sites. It is not allowed, for this reason I am locking this thread. I would guess you know of the Role Playing Forum. They may be able to help you more than Fanfic.
