	Hi all, I'm currently writing on my first piece and I have come upon some bits that I could use advice on. First, I have a location I could use help for. Basically, I want the name of a planet, or moon, that is conveniently located in the vicinity of Alderaan-Coruscant. The requirements for it is that it should be pretty much uninhabited and have forests and mountains. Should I make one up, or is there a named one that would suit my purposes. The second has to do with ship models, specifically fighters. The story takes place about 5ish years before the start of the Clone Wars, and I want a fighter that is state-of-the-art for the era, just coming out of production lines, i.e. something that only fairly well off systems or organizations would have access to. Z-95 Headhunters would be kinda sweet, but somehow I got the impression that they were introduced after ROTS. Am I wrong about that? Finally, I'm pondering to include a female senator. She should have a political position that makes it plausible for her to later join the Separatists, which is what make me exclude Mon Mothma. At this point, I feel my little cabal of would-be Separatist senators is too male dominated, so any advice on that would be good. 	Here's a link to all of the planet's in the Star Wars Universe: List of of Planets For warning though, it's a huge page, and at least on my computer is really slow. You could probably use the Find feature (CTRL+F) and then type in Alderaan to find planets in its vicinity or Coruscant for Coruscant (I just double checked and Alderaan and Coruscant are both the sector and the system names, most planets don't do that). Or you could try this map:Map of the Star Wars Galaxy to look for planets nearby, if you wish. Coruscant is just to the upper right of the Deep Core, and Alderaan is about an inch down and to the right of it. You could look up planets in the vicinity and their moons in Wookieepedia (it's a fanfic writer's best friend) and see if any of them fit the requirements you need. In all honesty though, I think it's more fun to make up your own, and that way you know all of the facts about the planet, so there aren't any restrictions. It's always cool when an author successfully uses a real planet though. I didn't see the actual date of construction, but Z-95 Headhunter was around at that point and time. The earliest book (SW Timeline) it appears in is Cloak of Deception which was Pre-TPM, so it would probably just beginning to be in its prime. They just didn't appear in the movies until RotS, since the Jedi had just gotten their Jedi Starfighters and such during AotC. You could just create a new Senator, OCs are always pretty cool, and there's no possible way all of the Senators that seceded will ever be talked about in-depth in any profic novel. That leaves you plenty of room to manuever. If you really wanted to, you could search through all of the Senators on Wookieepedia and see if there is one you like, but that could take days. Seceding Senators is one list Wookieepedia doesn't have. Best of luck with your first story! If your willing to put this much effort into researching for your first story, I'm sure it'll be great! 	A galaxy is a really big place. If there isn't a planet that fits your requirements you can very easily create one. And most planets have forests and mountains, as well as deserts and plains and frozen bits. Only in the movies do you come across planets with a single ecosystem type. Some of them will have more of a certain type of ecosystem than others, but only on gas giants and frozen asteroids is there a single ecosystem that spans the whole planet. -----signature----- This post is brought to you by: "Is he crazy?" 	Excellent tips y'all. Especially thanks for the names of those senators and the map. That gave me what I needed! I prefer to use Universe material for my solutions if I can. 	I actually settled for Velusia - it is "of little interest for spacefarers" and really only has one dingy little space port. I.e. it's uncivilized, yet in the core and not too far off the Coruscant-Alderaan travel path.
