Anyway, Barriss is my favorite Jedi character of all time. I was so sad when I heard of her death that I decided to write my own fanfic where ... well, it didn't really happen. I don't want to give much about it away just yet, but in it, Barriss manages to escape Order 66 by faking her own death while secretly going underground. Palpatine covers it up, lying that she was killed during an attempt to poison Felucia's water supply, while really Barriss goes into hiding and wages her own private war on the Sith...
That's all in the future of this story, though. I'm currently writing the first chapter and will post it as soon as I get it done (hopefully within the next few days).
