	It's beautiful, thought Lola as she looked around. Bumping up behind her, Ceillean and mavjade let out soft oohs of delight. They were looking down into a natural amphitheater, one surrounded by clear, softly bubbling springs and black malab rock that glittered like a thousand suns when the light hit it just right and, at the moment, the afternoon sun was making the whole thing gleam with enchantment. The Sacred Pools of Telos were a galactic-wide attraction and Lola had been very fortunate, very fortunate indeed, to get the location. For free no less. The new OffWorld Corporation, run by a Xanatos du Crion, had surprised her with the offer. He even insisted on using his own people to set up the seating and stage for the awards ceremony. At no cost. Most generous of him. Lola couldn't say no. Tahi joined the trio and grinned in delight, "Wow, what a great location." "I'm just happy to get it for free." Lola nodded. "Time to get to work. Ceillean, make sure that the guests enjoy themselves. Mav, see that the OffWorld crew are doing their job." Turning to Tahi, she said, "Do you have the winner's list?" "Right here, Boss," she waved the envelope. Looking behind her, mavjade made a choking noise and yanked on Lola's tunic to get her attention. "We've got problems. The first of the guests have arrived. It's... it's Darth Malak and Darth Revan's with him." This was not good. Lola64 started moving toward the Sith lords. "Mav, help Ceillean. We don't want any trouble." From behind her, Ceillean gasped out, "We've got more problems. Masters Yoda and Dooku have arrived. And there's General Hoth, the Jedi master who went up against Darth Bane... " She drew in a sharp breath. "And right behind Master Hoth is Darth Bane himself. Oh, I better go try and seat them in ... separate sections. Wouldn't want another Jedi/Sith war on our hands." Lola stopped her. "I'll handle this." Walking up to the Sith and Jedi Masters, the Hostess folded her arms across her chest and said, "There will be no trouble here tonight or...." Darth Bane scowled down at her, "Or what, little morsel?" Lola sent him a glare. "Or we'll write you out of fanfic forever." Another of the Sith Lords, Darth Malak, growled in annoyance, "You think you can threaten us? We own the galaxy and you are nothing - an insignificant insect." But Lola stood her ground. She could feel the rest of her crew behind her, backing her up. Casually, she said, "Oh, it's not a threat. It's a promise. Behave yourselves and you'll be fine. Otherwise, I'd hate to see such fine Sith Lords as yourself written as five-year olds or perhaps be forced to take JarJar Binks as your dark apprentice or maybe even written as a Jedi..." "There's no need for insult, Madam," Darth Bane spat out. "Keep the Jedi scum in line and everything will be fine." In all the heated discussion, no one had noticed Master Dooku listening in. Now, he said, with great disdain, "Scum is a word I'd choose to describe Sith, not Jedi." Bane twisted around, fingering his saber. "Shut up or I'll show you how the Sith can gut a Jedi with little effort." Lola stepped in between them. "Gentlebeings, please. Take your seats or you will miss the festivities." With ill-concealed sneers, the men turned away. As she watched them move toward the seating, still posturing, she called out to Ceillean, "See to our guests." And then more arrived. Jedi Knight Bastila and Darth Nihilus and Carth Onasi, Garen Muln and Siri Tachi and Qui-Gon Jinn with his young apprentice, Obi-Wan. Jedi and Sith, sidekicks, bounty hunters and all manner of beings. Even a few droids. From out of the shadows darted a pair of kids, a dark haired dark eyed boy who looked vaguely familiar with a young Anakin Skywalker hard on his heels. Shmi was not far behind, calling out softly, "Don't run, boys." And before Lola knew it, the amphitheater was overflowing with eager participants - waiting. 	As the attendees have all settled into their seats a voice comes over the sound system requesting that all communications devices be turned off for the duration of the ceremony. “For the enjoyment of all there is no eating, drinking, smoking, or use of external holocamm lighting at the Sacred Pool of Telos,” the voice also announces. “And now your Hostess, Lola64.” A round of applause welcomes Lola as she steps to the podium. She understands their acclamation is not for her as she is unknown to most of the attendees, but because her entrance signals the start of the festivities. She will not disappoint so proceeds immediately with the first nomination.
