What is the time limit on reposting stories?
What is the time limit on reposting stories? As in, say I have a story that I keep trying to write and DRL keeps intervening, and now I have decided that I would just like to start it over again, can I do that if the last time I updated was in December?
I am having my second (and hopefully last) surgery in November and will need to take two weeks off to recover, and I have decided that this will be a perfect time to pretend that I am NANOing and finish this story for good. I would really like to see it turn out the best that I can make it, as it has been the "unfinished" thorn in my side for nearly eight years. (It would probably help if I had a beta, but I am too
to ask.
Also, any tips on writing multi-post fics while fighting epic battles with DRL would be great. He seems to have a vendetta against me.
Thanks in advance.

RE: What is the time limit on reposting stories?
if you last updated in December 2007 and no one replied in the 8 months since then, the stories automatically get locked after 6 months of inactivity. You can, however, unlock and "up" your story. Now of course you did say that you wanted to rewrite the story, so I assume you also mean re-post it as well?
Not sure on the other stuff you were asking. Don't be afraid to ask for a beta. There's a index thread of beta readers willing to help, just ask.
Here's a link to the beta index:

Thank you for the information.
I want to rewrite it instead of just updating. There are things in my story that I think I could do better, and a couple of plot holes that will come out if I keep going as it is now. Also, these characters keep popping up and telling me that they are important to the plot and I need to write them in, but I don't want to do that half-way into a story.
Sigh. Sorry if this doesn't make any sense, I'm running on four hours of sleep.
As for my other question, I meant "Does anyone have tips for staying motivated to work on multi-post fics while juggling real life priorities?"
And thank you for the link to the beta thread. I really should get one, but I am worried about what people will say about what I write. Which is way I like it here, because I can post stuff and run away. Makes no sense, I know.
