	I asked a SW Fanfic Mod about crossovers with fandoms that are on the Non-SW Fanfic forum's Disallowed Works List and was told that they are a no-no. I also asked what would happen to existing DW crossovers - would they be deleted, locked, allowed to finish, or what? - and was told that they would be handled on a case-by-case basis. So if you've posted crossovers here at SW Fanfic and/or are planning to, please take a look at the list. 	It's a consistency thing. Before we had a NSWFF board, maintaining and policing disallowed fandoms in crossovers would have been a burden on top of all the other stuff we have to moderate across the four Star Wars fanfic boards. Now we have three Non-Star Wars Fanfic mods who have to keep up the list of disallowed fandoms anyway and who can answer any NSW questions we have; we may as well use their work as a resource and make things consistent across the boards. Otherwise we could have people saying "Miana won't let me write Anne Rice? Well I'll just add Obi-wan and go stick it in Before the Saga." We'll more likely than not let any WIPs run their course. It wouldn't be very fair to the authors to apply a new standard retroactively if they weren't breaking the rules when they started it. 	To be honest, I thought crossovers with sources that specifically disallowed it would already have been forbidden here -- just not necessarily kept track of as attentively as at multifandom places. 	Yeah, I believe it's been moderated like that in the past (though I can't remember it ever coming up during my tenure so far), but not very strictly. 	It wouldn't be very fair to the authors to apply a new standard retroactively if they weren't breaking the rules when they started it. Er . . . hypothetical situation: There is a fic for Fandom X written by User A. User B is inspired by it and writes one of his own. But before posting it, he checks and finds out that the author doesn't allow fan fiction. sigh I'm this close to taking advantage of the fact that nobody else here can read Japanese. 	When considering a crossover of SW with a disallowed universe, and you just HAVE to write it, all one has to do is do a Dragnet and "CHANGE THE NAMES TO PROTECT THE INNOCENT".
