Click on “Symbol.” There will be a big, long list of all the speciality characters. Find the one you’re looking for (in this case, ô) and click insert. After that, I usually spell out the word or name that uses the special character. I copy it and go to “AutoCorrect” options under “Tools.” There’s two boxes there – “Replace” and “With.” Under “With”, I paste the word/name, then type the word/name without the specialized character under “Replace.” For example, I have Padmé saved to AutoCorrect. “Padme” went under “Replace” and “Padmé” went under “With.” That way, whenever I type her name out, my compuer always changes it immediately to Padmé. That should solve your ghôsh problems. Hopefully I explained that right, I’m terrible at explaining things.

You hit control-F, then click on the tab that says "Replace" on the box that pops up. You enter in the word you want changed in the "Find what" box, enter the word you want it changed into in the "replace with" box, then hit "Replace all" at the bottom. That should take care of your problem.
