	Title: Broken Promises Author: Jade Pilot Characters: OC, Luke and some of the usual. Genre: Drama/Angst, AU Summary: Written for the Dear Diary 2007 challenge. Tani Dahl (OC) journals her life and experiences on Tatooine with a certain farmboy. A/N: Thanks to WyoJedi for the artwork! **Thanks to everyone for voting Tani Dahl as Best OC 2008! I know…I’ve said this so many times in the past that even I don’t believe me anymore. But this time I mean it. I’m not just fantasizing about seeing him again, wondering how he’ll receive me—if he’ll even recognize me. This time I’m really going to go see him and tell him what I’ve longed to tell him for so many years. This doesn’t come without risks. He has a whole new life now, a wife and a Jedi Order to maintain. But some things were left unsaid and he has a right to hear the words denied him back on Tatooine…when we were both young and naïve. The question is—can my heart withstand the onslaught of emotions that seeing him again will cause? It doesn’t matter. Sometimes you just have to do the right thing no matter what the cost. I have been a coward for much too long and now…now I intend to remedy that. The truth will be told—and our lives will never be the same. I just pray that Luke will understand and forgive me.
