I'm not much of a costumer, having only dressed up for the Episode III premiere, but I know Beezel26 has dressed up and marched in parades before. I'm more of the casual fan who wouldn't mind meeting other fans and discussing things like the movies or the books over dinner.
Anyway, I wouldn't mind meeting up with people for dinner or a movie, maybe before Christmas sometime. I heard that Stephen King's "The Mist" is pretty scary, although nothing usually scares me.  Or we could all go to the new PF Chang's in Colonie Center, or to Bomber's on Lark Street.

I think the problem is that you're actively trying to get people from this site to go join another site. My time online is already a mere fraction of what it was when I was in college, and I really am not going to sign up for anything extra than I already have.
But like I said before, if you or any of your friends in the area are interested in seeing that Stephen King film or meeting up for dinner, just drop us a note on here or via PM so I can post the details.

mid march. moved out of my apartment to my parents.
ended up getting hit on the way over and my car is totaled.
moving is hard, basically getting rid of everything or giving it away.

I'm glad you're moving to Oz. It sounds like you enjoy it there. I would like to visit there someday but I don't like planes enough to take another trip that long for a while(I visited Japan and nearly went insane on the 14 hour flight).
Sorry to hear about your car accident.  I know you're not keeping the car but it still sucks if you were going to sell it. I'm glad you're all right, though.
Are you going to be applying for Aussie citizenship?
