I say we park and ride it. I'm totally in, though I think we might have better attendance if we did a glodeo (5:45 on Friday night) or the night magic show (5:45 Saturday night). Those are also big nights for families with kids and teens.
Just a couple of thoughts.

That's a really good point. It's mostly the hardcore balloonist that are out that early. The evening events draw more of a family crowd. Weather permitting.
Propgeek, I got a hold of the office and cell phone number for the fiesta coordinator. It's good to have contacts in high places!  I'll PM it to you.

Maybe we could do more than one event - morning and evening. That gives more opportunity for us to be available to make it and more exposure to different crowds. IMHO

Hardcore balloonists? Last year we went to a weekend Mass Ascension and there were a TON of people there. Amazing number of kids and families.
But yeah, there's also tons of people at the glows...

You know your flight suit goes on nicely over a pair of shorts or sweats, right? You could wear the flight suit down there, and just put on the armor in the parking lot. Would that be so bad?
Yeah, I know, I have a pair of thin leggings I wear underneath. I'm just not a morning person so it sounds like too much work!  I don't think I'll wanna deal with all the traffic that early and then have to suit up at my vehicle and walk in by myself in costume...blah de blah blah. You know... So I would probably go but not suited up. That way I could be half asleep and cranky with no bad reflection on the 501st.
I would be much more up to an evening event.

Well, if I had a costume to wear I might have gone. Been a pain and a half to find a Sandtrooper outfit in my rather stalky size. But since this is the first Fiesta in 3 years I won't have to work for the station I am employed by, taking a breather this year.
