Hi Mos Alba! Since you guys are invading our site, it's right that we invade yours. 
I'm Rachel, Secretary of the San Diego SWS, and sad to say, I've never been to New Mexico. Flown over it, but never been. 
I hope to meet some of you at Comic Con this year, or C4 next year!

Yeah Rachel has never been to New Mexico, but she spent a MONTH in NEW ZEALAND recently. And no... I'm not jealous, really I'm not.

Well, we didn't get to go to Edoras itself, but Queenstown was where most of Rohan was shot, and we stayed there. It looked it, too.  I did go to Mount Doom and Hobbiton!
(And Linda's still jealous).

Oh snap! I was at C1 and C2. I was unable to attend C3 due to my wedding around the same time. Thanks again to Brotherhalo who hooked me up with a C3 Vader.  Were going to try to take a "Griswald" vacation to Disneyland later this year. With Star Tours and the Indiana Jones rides/gifts shops...I guess that'll have to do to feed my SW addiction! And damn, the family and I will have to make it to C4 next year. Hearing about C4 just made my day.

We are hoping for LA. Our CR, and I, were part of a contingent of 501st members who were present when Lucasfilm and GenCon took their tour of the LA convention center. They seemed impressed, and Mary Franklin even visited the convention center a second time, so to me, that means LA is seriously being considered. Anywhere on the west coast would be great for both our clubs. I know traveling to INDY was quite an expense for me. LA is about 12 hours for you guys, so that is within driving range. I drive that numerous times a year, back and forth to Cloudcroft. But anywhere on the West coast would be preferable to the other side of the country. Oh, and not only C4 was confirmed, C5 is planned for 2009, and C6 for 2011. I believe that whatever venue gets the contract, they will get the contract for all three future celebrations.
