Maybe we can try the get together at my home in Cloudcroft one last time? Maybe I can coax some more SDSWS members to go out there. The place sleeps 12-13 in beds, 3 more on couches, and there is plenty of floor space for many others spread out on three floors. Maybe sometime during Easter/Spring Break? There are also rooms/cabins for rent nearby, and plenty of room to park trailers on the property. It would be nice to visit with the Southern New Mexico group as well. grin

Vegas would be a GREAT host city, but there is some concern that fans in helmets are a NO-NO in the casinos...

The Comic Con people turned down both CIII and CIV. San Diego is a Union town anyway, very expensive to hold conventions here.... LA on the other hand, is cheap since the Convention Center is owned by the City not a private individual. LA offerred to do the convention for a token fee of $1,000, because they know they will make their money off of tourism.

LA would be cool. I have friends out there which means we won't have to pay for a hotel!!

Tsk tsk tsk...I was born and raised in Cali, but now most of my family lives here now. Sob, but on a brighter note...having a possible SW convention there rocks. It'll be sooo much better then traveling over 3000 miles round trip to Indiana. And the time you would save...

Thanks for letting me invade your group once again.

For the shadow troopers in the group, I know you have at least two, they might be interested to know that the Shadow Trooper Figure will be Hasbro's exclusive Comic Con 2006 figure grin

Its all casinos policy. They deal with HUGE amounts of $$$, If they were to get robbed, they wouldnt be able to see your mug. Besides, if you were playing Texas Hold'em...no one would be able to see your poker face if shielded by a Hasbro Vader mask. Wouldnt it be great if the Force did exist...you can make a fortune playing Jedi mind tricks on the weak minded. It would also be very interesting to see the ESPN World Series Of Poker...Jedi/Sith style.

Lookie what I bought:

Currently it is at Elstree studios in the UK, parked right in front of the George Lucas stage. Elstree will probably be doing some work on it for me to make it more accurate looking. They were the ones who made the original landspeeder. It is street legal, already registered in CA. When I come over for a visit (after I get it shipped to the states) I'll have to drive it to Albuquerque. Then all you sandtroopers can ask me to see my identification. wink But Lor better not knock me down with his Gaffi stick and ransack my landspeeder! wink
