Just for AOTC purposes I would chose the purple one. Any other movie so far would be green.

I'd go with red. Not because I prefer the darkside or anything.. I just prefer the intensity of the red glow over the other colors.

I didn't choose because I was always one for yellow. I wonder why they didn't have yellow sabers in AotC like they do in Knights of the Old Republic.
Does anyone know why?

LucasFilm just didn't want to. You can argue that Jedi didn't appreciate certain colors, etc., but the truth is that LFL just thought blue and green were enough for the group of Jedi.

Seriously. Luke's saber in the OT (at least in ANH and ESB) was the coolest thing I had ever experienced in a theatre. Green in RotJ was cool, too, but thta original lightsaber...
So blue was my favorite lightsaber colour anywhere.
