I think Taun We is Palpatine's "squeeze on the side."
He's kept it quiet, and it's a long-distance relationship. Sure, she's a lot taller than him, but HE doesn't care. Yes, it's purely physical. She's offered to clone him a little Palp but he's too busy with his career as Supreme Chancellor and Secret Sith Lord to raise a family. There's only so many hours in a solar day. Taun We is a great stress reliever from the burdens of leadership. You should hear the cute little names they have for each other. And they LOVE each other's voices.
Palpatine is a total pimp. He got Dooku to hook him up with her, after Dooku ordered the Clones and told Palp all about her. Taun We is Palpatine's Eva Braun.
Taun We especially likes it when he puts on his Sith robes and warms up the water bed with a touch of force lightning. Cozy and warm! So romantic!
This is all true. Why do you think Kamino was erased from the Jedi archives? Because it's his weekend love nest. And he didn't want any more visitors there than necessary. Plus, while he was visiting there, he could always check on the progress of that clone army.
