Star Wars Episode II is the best movie ever made.

One of the reasons I say that... I've never been assualted with atmosphere in any other movie like I have with Episode II. All the sunsets, the locations... the mystery behind everything, Anakin and his deep character, Padme and her deep character, how Lucas brilliantly starts the final day that there will be peace in the galaxy with a sunrise over a lake setting an orange, GRIM, haunting glow over Naboo and probably the rest of the galaxy, how Lucas manages to be an artistic genius in almost every shot in the entire movie, how the film ends in the Jedi Temple with the most haunting, atmospherical music that John Williams has ever written, not to mention the color palette during the final scenes, oh yeah and there's all the great action and special effects, and the Tusken slaughter scene which is extremely dark and foreboding; something I NEVER expected to see after the immature Phantom Menace, uhm let's see there's about two point five million more reasons why this is brilliant film-making, but no one would ever know that because a certain line or something makes them hate the entire movie, even though the perfect movie doesn't exist. Oh yeah and there's that opening scene where Kenobi dives out of a window about 3 billion stories off the ground, leading to a dazzling chase through a city only breifly shown about 20 some odd years ago... oh and there's the Jedi VS bounty hunter scene that I've been dying for for a very long time, and there's the love scenes that show a premature relationship forming, yet we know what's going to come out of the relationship, so seeing them saying cheesy things to each other, rolling around happily in green beautiful fields... well it depresses me, more than any movie has ever depressed me.
And seeing Padme hold the hand of Darth Vader at the end is tear inducing.
But that's why I love Episode II. If you don't agree, fine, but my condolences.
If serial movie making died a long time ago for a reason, I'd love to know the reason because it has been sorely missed by moviegoers who are looking for an adventure full of mystery, action, love, and atmosphere.

Seriously. Good God. If Episode II can be *this* atmospheric and beautiful in direction, well I better stay away from what's coming next.
Wait I... guess it'll be another "serial" style film... heh... better stay away from excitement and watch something that was made for the Oscars.

No, I just don't let people get away with talking B.S.

Bashing Episode II is sooo May 2002.
Gushing Episode II, though, can last a lifetime.
