Borders on Charing Cross Road in London sells Insider - I've bought it there before. They tend to sell out though so it would be best to check with the store before making a special trip. And the UK Star Wars magazine is readily available - any WH Smiths should have it (as well as Borders).

You're welcome, Karen. The closest Tube station for Borders would be Tottenham Court Road. It's not too bad a walk from Leicester Square Tube Station though.

It was for one of our compatriots who can't wait for the UK mag to reprint the GAR feature. Thanks!

Well, unless he/she lives or works in London, I definitely recommend phoning the store before making a special trip for it. Funnily enough, I have never seen Insider in Forbidden Planet in London. You would think they would carry it for sure!

If you and Ryan Kaufman were ever given the chance to do an identical guide to the Navies of the Republic or Confederacy, I would be overjoyed. As a Fleet Junkie and a Clone Wars fan such an article would be the pinnacle of EU features for me. Even though a bunch of the Republic ships would have to be your own original creations, as there is a severe lack of Republic ships in the Clone Wars (only the VSD, Venator, Dreadnought are covered in detail).

There's also a bunch of old-school (read: pre-1999) vessels that were mentioned as being in the Clone Wars or were at least around in that general time period. Granted, most were not covered in that much detail so a lot would have to be created around the names--and even most preestablished ones don't have up-to-date info relating to their role in the Clone Wars as we now know them.

--Liberator-class troopship (no pictures, only known example Guardian of the Republic a.k.a. Trader's Luck from The Paradise Snare)

--pocket cruisers (no pictures, very little known)

--Marauder corvette (images specs already covered in detail but it would be nice to have additional updated history)

    --CloakShip fighter (same)

    and some others

Karen: I seem to remember that you wanted some of those lightsaber spoons that were in cereal boxes circa RotS.

Well, they're coming back. You can get Ryan or some fans to pick you up some more, probably.

    happy

They wanted a new cover, with completely new art, and were disappointed that this cover looks similar to RC:HC's.

I wonder if it'll get a Japanese cover...?

I love the TZ cover, especially that red armored fellow in the front, maybe in the next book we can have jungle armored troopers. (I had a hard time deciding which SW Insider cover I wanted….all of them looked spiffy.) happy

I've been reading Star Wars literature off and on for the last few years and just recently was introduced to Karen Traviss. I was trying to find all her stories so far and have come up with the following:

    Republic Commando: Hard Contact
The Omega Squad story from Star Wars Insider
    Republic Commando: Triple Zero
In His Image from the Vader: Ultimate guide book
A Two-Edged Sword from Star Wars Insider #85

Are there any others I have missed? Also, does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Vader: Ultimate Guide book. I can't find it anywhere.
