I've no idea how Miss Traviss (I think it's "Miss") would take it.

Generally speaking, unless someone specifically tells you they prefer something else, the preferred term is "Ms." Also, bear in mind that the whole point of "Ms." is that it's used regardless of marital status. It is not a substitute for "Miss."

It's also very interesting to see how her characterization of Vader there tied in with some of the changes Jacen is going through and some of the same characters came back in the form of their descendents (Lekauf, for example). Traviss really likes to reuse her characters, I think.

Lekauf is actually based on Ryan Kaufman, who developed the Republic Commando video game.
(and Ryan also made a character whose name is based on Karen's in some Clone Wars Adventures comics he penned.)

while i liked the introduciton of Lekauf (younger), it seemed that every other time he appears, there is the obligatory reference to how his grandfather served under Vader.

I just finished reading "Sacrifice" and I enjoyed it very much. I also really liked "Bloodlines"...In Sacrifice, I really like her "motherly" perspective on some of the relationships, like Mara and Ben. Being a mom myself - and my oldest is a 12 yr old boy - I find her writing to be spot on. My version of Bloodlines is hardcover, so the short stories are not in the back. Is there anywhere I could find them?

Hey jedipencil, your best is getting it as an ebook I think. I am guessing you are US-based, so this http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/BookDetails.asp?BookID=31005 would be your best bet. Not 100% sure (I'd need to check) but I may have had to use another site as I am UK based. The rest of the Star Wars ebooks should be on there.

Over Xmas, with all the sales going on, I managed to pick up all of the Wess'Har series except Crossing the Line. Gonna keep my eyes open for it. Hopefully there'll be a few copies floating around before Judge comes out.

Im looking forward to Judge. Even though the first book was uneven the Wesshar series has gotten progressively better with each book.

As an update, the latest (and presumably last) RC novel, Order 66 is due out in September, per Ms. Traviss's official site. Cover art and (probable) jacket text here.

As a personal note to Ms. Traviss, thanks for six wonderful Star Wars novels - I'm looking forward to number seven!

I'm curious: We've got upcoming Star Wars and Gears of War novels as well as more original novels forthcoming, but I seem to remember that Karen was writing a novel based on the TV show Primeval -- am I misremembering? Is this not happening anymore?
