Chances are if you are a Star Wars fan you just might be a Farscape fan too (like me)...

Here's the announcement from The Henson Company and BOOM! Studios regarding the relaunch of Farscape as a new four issue comic book series along with the reveal of my cover artwork for issue #1 -

http://www.watchfarscape.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=281&Itemid=2

I hope everyone enjoys the artwork. Special thanks to my friends at Hi-FI Studios for collaborating with me on this cover art. Also, that is the final complete version of the cover artwork even though it states "not final art" so the layout of the text might change. Hopefully you'll see my art for covers 2 through 4 as well.

For more news on this announcement check these links at Newsarama.com and Comic Book Resources.com here and here.

Gorgeous cover there. I'm not into Farscape, but the art design there is fantastic. grin

Thanks, Keralys! I really appreciate that compliment. Feel free to pick up the comic book later this year and check out the series on DVD if you get the chance, I guarantee you'll like it if you love Star Wars (and of course you do or you wouldn't be here) happy

Joe,
I have to agree that it is a very sweet cover. When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was actually a photo. Upon clicking, I saw that it was an incredibly detailed piece of work. Hats off.

I'll be picking this one up.

Thanks jedimaster203! I really appreciate that. I think the first issue will be shipping later this year, probably in the Fall so keep your eyes peeled if you can. I'll post again and let everyone know when it's finally on sale.

In the meantime, as the excitement for Indy 4 gears up, I invite everyone to head on over to the excellent Indiana Jones fan site, The Raider.net, to check out my interview there regarding my sketch card work for Topps new Indiana Jones trading cards sets and get an *exclusive* first look at my artwork for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull -

http://www.theraider.net/features/interviews/joe_corroney.php

Thanks for the support everyone. I hope you enjoy the read and my new Indy artwork too.

PS More Star Wars art from me on the way soon!

Hey Everyone,

I recently illustrated a feature in #16-09 of Wired magazine on Lucasfilm's Leland Chee (the keeper of the Holocron). You can see the artwork for the feature artcile online here -

http://www.wired.com/entertainment/hollywood/magazine/16-09/ff_starwarscanon

I also created some spot art for their "Star Wars timeline" article too You can view it in the magazine but there's also an interactive version online here -

http://www.wired.com/special_multimedia/2008/starwars_1609

Be sure to pick up the magazine too since it's on newsstands now. Thanks for the support!

Hey Joe,

Looks like you swing by the boards about as frequently as I do!

Great piece. I wish they'd got you to do the Unleashed comic matey, it was nice work but Starkiller seemed to go 'off model' quite a few times - would've benefited from your keen eye I reckon.

It's now looking like we wont make it in October, (drat) were probably gonna be moving house - to be near the studios. We're looking forward to the move, but the timing has kind of been thrust upon us!

Stay happy - see you soon we hope.

Hi Paul! Yeah, i don't make it to these boards as much as I'd like to these days but I try to keep everyone informed on my Star Wars projects whenever they come in. I would have love to have been involved in The Force Unleashed project in some capacity, hopefully I'll be able to do more Star Wars art for Dark Horse again someday. We'll miss you and Athena at Fan Days II in Dallas this month. Hopefully we can connect again soon!

Speaking of upcoming Star Wars projects I am providing brand new Star wars artwork for Star Wars Galaxies Vol. 4 coming this February from Topps. You can read more about this new trading card series at Star Wars.com right here -

http://www.starwars.com/vault/collecting/news20080930.html

I'll have more news and hopefully some artwork previews to show in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled on my official site and myspace site for updates.

Know they've been out for a few months, but I did want to say I dug your Farscape covers. Suits you well.
