I heard, vaguely, that you were planning to fix the JvS and PoD problems within your blog, Mr.Karpyshyn. Is this true?
Personally, I don't see alot of problems, as long as the Battles of Roon, Drommund Kas, Malrev IV, and Hoth are retconned to be apart of the 3 year gap you left between the Battle of Korriban and Banes story starting.
As the NEC tells us the Republic was driven to the Core bar a few worlds (Korriban, assumedly), and then PoD tells us they're in the Mid Rim. Putting Lord Hoths first campaign (the aforementioned 4 battles, and assumedly his capture of Kashyyyk and so forth) here explains the discrepancy, and makes Lord Hoth sound rather cool, considering just how much he did...
Otherwise....somewhat messier.
Good luck, either way. You wrote an astonishingly good book, and its incidental that it doesn't match JvS, to me.

Hey, everyone. Just posted my new blog over at StarWars.com.
In it I talk about continuity and some of the reasoning behind the changes and retcons people have been pointing out in Path of Destruction.
Hope you fine it interesting.
Drew
PS: Bad news on the KOTOR3 front. BioWare's not working on it, and as far as I know nobody else is, either.
But you know what they say: Never say never...
Edit: Oh, and thanks to all of you saying nice things about PoD. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. I'm totally in this for the money, but if I accidentally make people happy along the way so be it.

Time for a little more shameless self promotion:
I'm going to be doing a book signing in my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on December 15th. Here are the details:
December 15th, 7:00 pm
Chapters Southpoint
3227 Calgary Trail NW
Edmonton, Alberta
If you're in the Edmonton area on Friday come on down! I'd love to sign some books, or copies of KOTOR... I'll even sign body parts. (Within reason. This is a family show here, folks.)

It was one of the best Star Wars books I have ever read. I constantly re-read it over and over again to see if I missed anything.

So who's the MVP this year then -- Brees or LDT?

Not really on topic, but since this is one of my passions...
As impressive as the New Orleans resurgence has been, Tomlinson has rewritten the record books this year. And he's done it with a first year starting QB. Every time he has the ball and makes the first tackler miss (which happens a lot) I sit up and start thinking "Endzone!".
Almost any other year I could go with Brees, but with this incredible season I have to give the nod to LT. (By the way, I totally agree he should go with LDT to avoid confusion with the original LT, but for some reason announcers don't seem to buy into that.)
Plus, as much as I hate to do it I have to penalize the Saints because their record is inflated by a generally inferior NFC schedule. I honestly don't know if they'd even be a playoff team if they were in the AFC.

Hey, it's me again. Thanks to all you new posters who chimed in with your compliments for Path of Destruction. I just got the first batch of sales numbers, and it looks like Bane has struck a chord with the fans.
Of course, if I'm actually posting here, that must mean I have something to sell, right? Damn right!
As wild_karrde has pointed out, Mass Effect: Revelation goes on sale in a few days. You can check out a free preview over at the official ME website here.
You can also enter to win a signed copy of the novel. Might be worth tens of dollars someday!
Also, for those of you who were waiting for Path of Destruction to come out in paperback before buying/reading it... we're getting close. It's coming in June, so I'm hoping this will open the door for a whole new wave of fans.
And finally, I've updated my Blog on starwars.com and I've updated the NEWS section on my personal website here.
Okay... enough with the hardsell. Back to lurking.
Drew

Darn, went looking to see if the Chapters in the West Edmonton Mall put it out early, but they didn't. Guess I'll have to pick it up Tuesday after work.

Just finished Mass Effect: Revelation today. Great book. You can tell that Drew was the also the writer of PoD and KotOR, as both had a similar feel to this. Great as a standalone book, but even better as a lead-in for probably one of the most anticipated games of all time.
Speaking of which - any word on when a release date might be announced? I'm more excited for this game than any movie this summer!
