No no, I knew that. I was just clarifying.
These are the jokes, folks.
Rogue_Follower posted: Ambiguity is a great boon when used correctly, and I think Star Wars canon is one of those places where its use is appropriate, if not outright necessary. To make a shoddy simile, canon is like clay. You can mold it and shape it to perfection, but once hardened, your carefully constructed creation can be easily shattered...
Well, that's not so shoddy. I think that's very often true.
Rogue_Follower posted: I like sneaky. Keep it up.
It's all I got, brother.

Oh, I know that you knew. So we're all men of knowledge, really. Except for Ms. Coffee, who is in fact a woman.
Anyway, while breezing through some Tales comics, I decided to reread Collapsing New Empires, from Tales Volume 5. Its not that great of a story, but what I found striking was the similarity of its flesh-eating micro-droid "virus" to Belia Darzu's technobeast plague. Perhaps they are in some way connected...

Maybe?
Actually, this almost came to be. If only I'd gotten some notes to Dan on the NEG to Droids sooner.

Hey Bootleg!
I'm excited about Matt Stover's new book. I'm a big fan of his Star Wars work.
I think I've mentioned before that I had written a new backstory for Shadowspawn in a project on Imperial Warlords I'd co-authored with Dan Wallace for Polyhedron in 2004, before they lost the Star Wars license. As Dan, the Polyhedron editor, and myself are the only ones to have ever seen the text, however, don't expect Shadows of Mindor to incorporate my take on Shadowspawn. Nonetheless, Stover is a very competent Star Wars writer, and I expect the story to be quite entertaining.
Take care,
Abel

Hey Abel, I recall you mentioning that in your Fact Files article for Empire: Betrayal, you had a mention of Atha Prime that got cut. I'm trying to source a Wookieepedia article, and I was wondering if you could confirm and/or expand on that.

Hullo there Abel.
As a sign of gratitude to your inadvertant "Making easier of Wookieepedia editing", I'll dedicate the Halagad Ventor Featured Article to you.
Cheers.

Sure. First of all, I do confirm that I made the reference and that it was cut from the final print article. The reference was vague, IIRC, but suggested that, at some point in his past, Trachta was in cahoots with Atha Prime. At that time, Empire: Betrayal was the first story to canonize the "stormtroopers are clones" theory, and I wanted to help fuel reader speculation by adding Atha Prime to the fire.

That's awesome, Elipsis. What an honor. That's quite an impressive article, in terms of writing and layout. I'm surprised you guys squeezed so much info out of so few sources!
Hopefully I can add more to Halagad's backstory before it's featured on the main page.
Take care,
Abel

I'll give you a "canonise Ventor's torture on the Exactor" for an "all my money".
Actually, that's a pretty poor deal.
