Denning is the man. He knows how to plot the heck out of a book and a series. He nails the voices of the characters. His action (lightsaber fights and space battles) are exciting and fast paced. He made Luke a bad@ss again in Inferno, brought back the Sith, gave us the Han-Leia dynamic from Empire in DN. His books are fun, have the right mix of light and dark, feel the most SW and he doesn't push agendas in such an overt way as Traviss does with the Mandalorian stuff (I still refuse to use the dreaded word Mando because Mandalorian just sounds so much cooler) or Allston does with the Wedge/Corran/Tycho stuff. It's great, too how he ties things back to past work. Like Alema from DN coming back in LOTF or even Raynar/Lomi from SbS reappearing in DN. I was always annoyed when the Bantam books just dropped characters so it is nice to see Denning not do that.
I hope he keeps writing SW novels. I would like to see Denning, Luceno and Keyes team up for the next series. He should be the one to bring back Anakin Solo, with the follow up novel by Keyes.
In any case, looking forward to Invincible.

I agree with your point on Luke - he finally made him bada** again....very true! And what is this about bringing back Anakin Solo? Will they?? That would be cool.....
And I also count the days till Invincible!!!

I was a J/J shipper, but Denning has done such a good job with Zekk that I've converted big time. LOL.
Also, Troy, you might be interested to know that somebody close to me who swore off SW after Anakin died... well, I convinced them to jump back into the mix with DN and they are loving it! Literally, as soon as they finished Joiner King they started Unseen Queen. LOL.
Question for you Troy, what are your feelings about the return of Anakin Solo? Do you think it is a good idea or a bad idea? Or is it not even worth discussing because LFL won't have it. I've said it before but with LOTF the stage is set for Anakin to come back when he is most needed.

So Anakin really is coming back? I thought it was hinted at a tad.....Anakin's personality was in that destroy/machine thingy back when Jacen and Ben did some missions together. I always wondered what would become of that little episode.....
Oh, and......Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk!

(holds out hand to fanboy)
Welcome to the club!
Personally, despite what others may think, I believe it's still going to be a while before Jaina gets with ANYONE!
Anyway, who here wants to see more books written by our boy Troy? (I like the way that sounds!) More importantly, who wants to see our favourite characters in it having awesome adventures and taking names along the way?!
Oh, and......Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk! Zekk!
Say it loud and proud!!!
BTW pencil, you said you were a bit of an artist, as your name seems to suggest. Got any works coming out?

Many people are thinking that Zekk will die in Invincible.
I say otherwise.
I think that Zekk will survive. That he will overcome whatever obstacles are thrown at him, and that he will come through a much stronger person.
ZEKK WILL NOT DIE!!!

Spoiler warning:
I was just wondering who's idea Legacy of the Force was? I liked the New Jedi Order because it had an outside force as the enemy. I strongly disliked the Legacy of the Force series however. I did not like the complete change in Jacens character or the pointless killing of Mara and Jacen. No, I am not going to send out hate letters as what happened with Anakin but at least Anakins death served a purpose. Jacen's fall was completely against the character. And his death served no greater purpose besides, to kill off the former hero.

Mister Denning, despite having been disllustioned with Dark Nest and your first two LOTF novels, I enjoyed reading Invincible greatly. I can't wait till I have time to reread it, and I hope any future EU novels by your is up to the high standard you set.

Hey Solus, you will get little or no argument from me. I think pretty much everything from the Del Rey era has ruined Star Wars for me. The characters that I used to know and love from the YJK are pretty much gone now.
Oh, how I hate them for that.
