Also . . .
ot at this point. I'm a slow writer, and I'm a little overcommitted, between SHATTERPOINT and my Overworld novels.
Is it just me, or did I see an S after novel?
I just hope that wasn't a typo . . .

This is first time I've seen in mentioned anywhere. Another Caine book!
He should just call that one "Fist of Caine."

Caine Black Knife was actually mentioned earlier in this thread, back when I asked if Stover was doing any more work in the Overworld universe. Apparently another novel is planned for after that too. I'm definitely pumped. After reading both Caine novels and Traitor, he's got me hooked as a reader for life. All three were terrific. After I move into my college dorm next week, I fully intend on ordering his first two novels.
That brings me to a question. Matt, have you written any short stories or anything other than your five novels? I'd love to check out anything you've done.

Okay, I just finished reading TRAITOR this afternoon(I was in my room all morning just to finish the book because I was so into it) and I have to say that I personally loved it! You really did a wonderful job here, Mr. Stover(can I call you Matt? Or Matthew? Or how bout Woodring? Can I call you Wood? Don't mind this too much, I'm just getting a little crazy what with being a day away from school and getting a lot of sleep...)
I have to say that I love all of the questions, contradictories, and comparisions(sp?) you used. Very interesting indeed. I had to think about the questions you brought up: "I am Vergere. What are you?" What is Jacen, indeed. I mean, really, my own father took me on that test before, so I was interested in Jacen's answer.
Also, I have to say I love how Vergere seemed to have a statement that could counter anything Jacen said. Loved that. I always have a saying that the "eccentric are usually the wisest" and I have to say that Vergere certainly fitted into this statement!
Yes, yes...I loved this book...might have to read it again because I want to think about what Vergere said in it some more(yes, I am an oddball...I have learned to accept that. I am that what I am and all that good stuff, of course )
Loved TRAITOR and I am looking forward to reaing your other books.

I still haven't seen Iron Dawn or Jericho Moon at any of my local bookstores. Now that I've read more about them I want to read them even more. I cannot understand why book stores don't put his books out on the shelves. I guess I'll have to order them.

wampa,
Those two books are out of print. It's not that they're not on shelves because stores don't stock them, it's that they're completely out of stock and not being produced anymore.

Hi Mr. Stover. I was just wondering with TFN's news with Steven Barnes writing a clone war novel with Obi Wan Kenobi and your Shatterpoint novel with Mace Windu, will you and Mr. Barnes have to coordinate with each other? Obviously not on the same massive scale as the NJO but to some degree will you?

Hi, everybody.
No, no clue on a release date for CAINE BLACK KNIFE. It hasn't even been written yet.
Yes, Steve Barnes and I are doing (should say, have done) a bit of coordinating on our respective Prequel-Era books -- we did a story conference thing out at Skywalker to make sure we're on the same page, as they say.

Mr. Stover,
let me just say that I enjoyed Traitor very much. I've read TFN's interview with you, and I'm glad someone's trying to make the Expanded Univere more 'adult'. Thank you for that.
Anyway, I do have a question, concerning your Prequel book...
I guess you won't be allowed to answer that, but... did George Lucas give you any, say, 'hints' about what was to come in Episode III? Or did he say "Do what you want, I don't care whether my film doesn't match with your novel.", or didn't you meet him at all?

I can't wait to read Traitor. Jacen is by far my favorite EU character, but I felt all the previous authors were bias towards 'child-prodigy' Anakin from the start.Did you also feel this?
In particular, Denning is very biased in SbS --- but we know thats kind of understandable
Also, I lovvvvvvvve Vergere, shes such an enigma. Are many questions about her answered?
eBooks seem to be the craze with the NJO authors at the mo (but none of them have been lucky 'nuf to be called back for a prequel book!). Do you think we'll see an eBook from yourself anytime soon? Would you do one if you were offered?
