Oh, our poor Obi-Wan.  I do hope he can overcome this, even though I don't think he can do it on his own. Maybe a slap in the face was just the thing.
I loved the beginning, with Schen almost trying to talk herself out of following Qui-Gon, wondering about her plant and thinking of the other things she should do. Turns out it's a good thing she was there. I only hope that Qui-Gon will offer her a satisfactory explanation. The situation can't look good to her right now, especially after Xanatos.

 I just got to the update...I've been out of town. The new chapter was awesome though, I loved it. Poor Obi, going insane can't be a good thing...I hope Qui takes care of him! *hugs*

Aaaaaah, what has gotten inside Obi-Wan? I certainly hope that Qui-Gon can figure it out. Surely Obi-Wan's sudden, violent personality change will be a clue? Oh, they should never show dangerous Archives artifacts to impressionable, young padawans.
Not the best introduction for Obi-Wan to Schen. She's going to think that her master needs to be saved from another wild padawan, but she hasn't seen the real Obi-Wan! I look forward to seeing Qui-Gon explain this to her.

Obi-Wan looked back at her, his eyes wide. The next instant, Qui-Gon felt him go limp under his restraining hands.
At long last, the Temple Archives was completely silent.

I just re-read portions of this. The first time I was gobbling it up just to find out what happened. You've left some interesting tidbits for us, I think. Are they clues? Red herrings? I think you're a deliberate writer, so I'm guessing they're clues. I love finding writers whose work bears multiple readings so well.

Interesting.
So, maybe I was wrong, and having Shen follow was a good idea.
Interesting that no one else was willing to jump in, although most of them seemed to be quite terrified already - which makes sense. Obi-Wan wasn't really all that sane.

I let myself fall behind, but am all caught up now, just in time to see that Obi-Wan appears to have gone quite mad. I loved the whole sequence of Qui-Gon trying to get control of his apprentice, and Obi-Wan's obvious confusion. I sure hope Qui-Gon knows what he is doing.
I'm sure this wasn't the introduction of Obi-Wan that Qui-Gon wanted to make to Schen. And I think he has a lot of explaining to do, if the slap indicates anything.

Ummm, yeah. Wow. What they said, plus.... Obi! Poor Obi and Shen--not quite the best of meetings. She probably thinks he's going Xani, what with how affectionate Qui was even when he was thrashing, and, well, the whole burning anger brawl-in-the-Archives thing. And I thought this was going to be a cute little one-shot when it started!  I'm hooked! Please update soon!

Hello!
I seem to be a bit late in joining here, but I gotta hand it to ya, P_A. This story has me hooked. I'd love to run commentary on the entire thing, but I'm short on time and the others have said things so much more eloquently than I could have put them. As it is, I'll restrain myself to remarks just about this chapter. Ahem:
Yeesh. Poor, deranged Obi...and what a way for Quiggy's former Padawan to meet him! Madly slicing terminals and getting into a fistfight with one's Master isn't really recommended, if you'd like to make a good first impression. By the way, I'm curious about Schen. I love the way you've written her, and I must ask: is she canon or an OC? Either way, I like her alot. There's a quality of believability to her that's really appealing, here.
Back to Obi. This Ischila-thing seems to have quite the hold on our poor boy. Being a Tolkienite, I can't help but parallel this in some ways to the One Ring from LOTR. It's got the same quality of evil about it...very seductive, very powerful, but also destructive in a soul-corroding way. Is this why it was kept around -- to test the character of whoever had to face it? 
And yes, I'm adding my voice to the chorus of pleas for updates. I'm not the best baker in town, but I shall shower you with Halloween candy for a post. And possibly mind-trick my sister into baking snickerdoodles. Unlike me, she has skills in the kitchen.
